Very comfortable saddle. I switched from a more conventional road bike saddle (Specialized Avatar) to this as I was occasionally developing sores in...uh... tender areas. Switching to this saddle put a stop to that. My only complaint is that this saddle makes a lot of creaking noises. I've Googled and found that many other people have the same complaint. I've tried lubricating several points under the saddle to try to relieve it, and it's helped some, but the creaking is still there. It's annoying.

I initially had a Brooks B17 saddle some 10 years ago and was somewhat happy with that seat. But even though I treated it religiously with proofide the seat never really broke in the way I wanted it to feel. Sure I never got saddle sore but it was never as pliable and soft as I read the reviews of it from other people.
The moment I got on this particular saddle B67 with springs I was really impressed with the comfort level that it gave. I felt right at home and now I would not trade this seat for the world. I initial had an issue with noise squeaks coming from the springs and posted that on the Amazon forum for suggestions.
I am so grateful for people coming up with solutions to fix that problem because I was going to return it for another one even though it felt good. The noise was starting to get to me. Someone suggested to me to put the proofide between the metal casing and the leather underneath the seat. The next day after doing that the noise went away and now I am putting miles on the bike that I haven't done in years.
It is the most comfortable bike seat that I have ever owned and will never depart from it.

I've had a hard time finding a bike seat that fits my build. Some use gel foam and seem comfortable except that they are either too wide (chafe my thighs) or too narrow. This is the perfect width for me and the springs help dampen the road jolts. While a little padding might make it more comfortable, for me it is the most comfortable saddle I've found. (I've discovered that soft doesn't always equate to comfortable.) Not perfect, but the best I've found so far. By the way, I've tried MANY bike seats.
Comfy wide saddle

I own several B17s and I'm also trying out a C17 on another bike so I am familiar with Brooks saddles. B17 has been my go to saddle for several years. I had looked at the Flyer and B67 for quite a while due to the springs. I had also considered a Cane Creek suspension post. I found a great deal on the B67 so I decided to give it a try on my Surly Ogre. I have a pretty upright seating position on it. For my first ride I had it set up with 29x2.5" Maxxis Hookworm tires. Its a big balloony tire so they smooth out some of the road bumps on their own. With this setup the B67 did fine. It feels a little wide, probably because it is quite a bit wider than a B17, but not uncomfortably so. I need to play with the seat angle some. I didn't originally set the angle with the nose up as far as I would on a B17 due to the springs, but they are stiffer than I thought they would be. From my experience with B17s I know that break-in time varies a lot from saddle to saddle due to the leather. That said this saddle didn't feel like it really needed any break-in. You can feel the back of the saddle move under the springs some so if you are also used to a "rigid" saddle it may feel weird for a bit. I'm not sure if I will leave the B67 on this bike but a few more rides should help me decide. Either way I am sure it will find its way on to one of my bikes.
Glad I gave it a try

I thought a comfortable bicycle seat needed to be large and padded. Glad I read the reviews for the Brooks Saddle and gave it a try.
After many long bike rides over paved street with lots of bumps and hills it has performed perfectly. Very comfortable while providing lots of control (using my body position and movement to assist with steering). Of course the pictures convey the classic looks and elegant lines, but I still from time to time find myself staring at my Brook and smiling.
Recommend this bicycle seat.
