I used this generator for short power outages of less then a hour. On the 3rd use the fan (made of plastic) disintegrated which caused the engine to overheat, this also melted the fuel line causing gasoline to spray. Not just cheap but also dangerous. Haven't had the hart to see if it's repairable. As another reviewer stated just a large brick taking up room in my shop.

I bought this for my husband, so far it suits his needs. (construction) It was shipped with a damaged box and a little cosmetic damage to the product so I gave it 4 stars for that reason.
A complete waste of money

I used this generator once- very noisy but seemed to do the job for a couple of hours. After using it, I cleaned it and put it in storage for several months until the next time came to use it. Upon cranking it, it began leaking gas all over the place and could not be used again. After checking it out, I can see there is not loose fuel line or crack anywhere but something internally has come lose as it leaks gas continually and cannot be used again. Basically a waste of $ 200.00
Decent machine

I tried using a 6amp angle grinder on it and it turned the generator off as soon as the grinder started up so it definitely does not put out 11.6amps. However, it will allow my 1/3HP sump pump to turn on so that is a plus since I bought it for that purpose. It allows a 5.5amp jig saw to turn on and run at max speed so my guess is that it's somewhere near that amp range as a max output.
It is easy to start and comes with very good directions but they definitely need to go back to their max power output values to re-assign them.

Wiring insulation damaged from factory and leaking fuel are two good reasons to pass on this!

I had realistically low expectations for this product but was shocked at the fact it is not only under powered but a safety hazard as well. I filled the unit with oil and gas per the user's manual and it started after a few pulls however would not power the lamp I was using to test it. I consulted the troubleshooting section of the manual which said that if the unit ran but did not put out electricity to "check connections". I removed the cover off the side of the generator and found a loose connection which I fixed. I noticed the cut insulation on the wires in the attached pictures and patched them with electrical tape and replaced the generator cover. After starting the generator again it was then able to power the lamp. It did not have success with a 9 amp shop vac (~1100 W) repeatedly turning the generator off every time I attempted to turn the shop vac on. At this point I decided to let it cool off and put it away with the understanding that its capabilities were very limited. When I returned a few minutes later the generator was sitting in a pool of gas that was leaking from carburetor. I drained the fuel and now do not feel safe to run this again as bare wires and leaking gasoline could be a deadly combination.
In summary I love a bargain but this is not one; it is at best a piece of scrap metal and at worst a potential bomb.
