Great Portable Power Generator!!

I've had this Jackery 1000 a little over a month and it has done everything in the specs and more. The quality build feels very solid. The handle on top makes it easy for me to carry. There is no fan noise while charging and there is some fan noise while using the inverter. Not particularly loud, the sound is there turning on and off automatically while using the inverter.
The inverter is a beast for a rated 1000 watt inverter. It powered my (rated at 900 watts) microwave at full power continuously for over 3 minutes, drawing approximately 1230 watts while running. This dropped the power percentage to 94% from full. During a short power outage, it easily powered my Dell 60 watt laptop, a portable monitor, my husband's Surface 60 watt laptop and his portable monitor for several hours without a glitch. The inverter fan would toggle on and off appropriately 50% during that time. Dropped the power percentage to 75% from full. The Jackery had no issues powering our full sized fridge for a couple of hours to test it for a power outage at home.
I have a 105 watt AcoPower watt solar panel plugged in using the Anderson input and it's charging at a rate of 80-85 watts in full sunlight and 75 degrees. About 80% efficiency with the built in MPPT controller.
The only thing it has not powered is a portable air compressor for pumping up car tires. The 12 volt (cigarette lighter) plug of the compressor is rated at 15 amps and works fine from the car 12 volt output. The Jackery 12 volt output is only rated at 10 amps and would not power the compressor. The same Jackery 12 volt output had no issues powering a power 12 volt fan rated at 3 amps on high. I did not have a higher amperage 12 volt to test it with.
The charger charged the Jackery from dead to full in just over 6 hours. Longer time than some of the competitors, within the range that is in the specifications. It charged quietly with no fan noise.
The USB outputs work fine, although I usually use portable USB chargers for those, so haven't tested them as much except to make sure they work.
It came with a parallel cable for charging with two solar panels that I have not tested yet.
Overall the Jackery has exceeded my expectations. A shorter charging time would be nice. The reliability, portability, ease of use, inverter that can power my microwave at 1200 watts, built in MPPT charge controller, it's a great package for emergencies or on the road.

This unit is better than I imagined . It even runs a pizza oven at approximately 1300 watts draw flawlessly . Also a water kettle that runs in a range of 989- 1250! No problem. I tested a whole array of electrical equipment . Heaters at low work well. Enough heat and blow to be worthwhile . Max level of 1500 shuts down after a few seconds .
A ceramic induction hot plate . Does not work on most settings BUT on heat milk setting will boil a pot of water in three minutes .
I bought a 870 watts wok type cook pan - no probs! Toaster two slice no issues .
My favorite toy - a retro three in one unit , coffee maker / toaster / oven / with fry grill area on top ( only cost maybe $80 or so on Amazon) works perfectly even though when all modes are on it shows at above 1000 watts.
Hair dryer runs at low , hot is no problem . At high - shuts off immediately .
So I can cook , boil, toast, cook pizza, charge phone and all sorts of stuff with no issues .
Didn't try tools yet . So drills , saws etc no idea .
Water pump works well . Oh forgot 700 and 900 watt microwaves work perfectly . Jackery did not mention Microwave so I thought I would need a 600W one, but no need to buy one . This unit exceeds my expectations .
Have not tested recharging by the two solar panels - will do that when the weather improves . Charging on mains 110v and cig lighter outlet in car no problem .
This Jackery will also easily support a new toy, a Joolca tankless water heater for shower and dish washing , and the pump to extract water from lake, stream or whatever . No issues .
I now watch the run rate of WATTS for all electrical stuff that I see - it's become like an obsession . Just ordered a mini oven from Wal Mart that runs at less than 200 watts !
Must try it . Runs in the cig lighter outlet cable . That should give me slow cooking abilities anywhere !!!! Lighting no issue .
I haven't been so excited in 50 years ! Next I want a van / skoolie or whatever and go boondocking just for fun . And play survival off grid for a bit !!! Sold my fancy Motorhome a few months ago for crazy high money because of the Covid escapism that going on!!
The Motorhome was just too like living at the lake home and too easy . I want to play "off grid survival time" just to be an active 68 yr old , experimenting living below 1000 watts !
Finally I have found a 12v electric blanket for cold nights !!!!! It cant get better than this !!
Finally , watt hours - obviously one needs to be cognizant of consumption. Even at 600 watts - the unit will go flat in maybe less than two hours . But in the average day , making toast for ten minutes , a few pots of coffee, perhaps cook a few burgers or make a pot of stew , charge a few phones, etc . Should be no problem . Then intermittently recharge in the car when driving , by solar , or even from my noisy 4000 watt gas powered generator , should be no problem . Happy camper here! Jackery will have a higher capacity 2000 watt unit available shortly I hear. That will be able to provide more power and for longer for things like heaters, hair dryer , more powerful microwave ovens perhaps. All with no noisy gas motor and lighter than a traditional generator .
At home or at the office if a power outage arises, the Jackery 1000 will support lights, and some equipment for a reasonable period of time with no noise and no fumes.
It can be used while in charge mode and show watts in and watts out on the meter .
Apparently the parallel in/ out use is hard on the unit and may cause wear and tear on the battery and possibly reduced lifetime potential . Time will tell . This Jackery product is well engineered and good value .

In March 2021 the LCD screen failed to display properly. Pixels were missing to the extent that you could not read the numbers displayed. I contacted Jackery by email explaining the issue and immediately received a automated acknowledgment. This was followed by a email from a customer support specialist the next day which suggested trying a system reset by holding in the the display button for 8 seconds. This was tried but failed to correct the problem. I then sent Jackery another email explaining my unsuccessful attempts at resetting the battery. Jackery then advised me that they were sending out a replacement unit. They also requested a copy of the Amazon order and a video of my attempts to correct the display. The replacement unit arrived in a week along with a prepaid FedEx label to return the defective unit. I thought the whole process went smoothly and commend Jackery on their customer support. It's a rarity these days. This issue does not affect my 5 star rating because I believe customer support to be as important as the product and this is something that Jackery excels at.

I purchased this product 10/2020 primarily to provide emergency power during electrical outages. However once I received it I began using it for various chores around my property where electrical power was not available or inconvenient to obtain. For example it can supply power to my portable shop vac so I can vacuum my storage sheds without having to unroll a 100' extension cord. I also use it to supply power to my portable pumps to drain our water features in the fall. I also use it to run various power tools such as jig saws and drills while working on various outdoor projects thus eliminating the need to buy cordless tools.
I find it light enough to easily carry around and it has a pleasant stream line design . It charges as noted in the owners manual. I have also used it to charge my IPad, cell phone and Kindle using the DC ports. Everything works as specified. I checked the AC and DC ports with my multimeter and they meet the manufacturer specifications..
The only criticism I have is that I wish there was some way to keep the LCD screen continually lit as it is sometimes difficult to see under certain lighting conditions and it is a hassle to continually press the illumination button which only lights the screen for a few seconds. However this is a minor issue for what seems to be a well made and designed product. I have been using the Jackery 1000 for 5 months as of this review and based on this experience I would recommend it.

Reliable Power on the Go with Room for Improvement

I've had the chance to put the Jackery Explorer 1000 Portable Power Station to the test during a few outdoor adventures over the past year, including camping trips and park barbecues. The functionality it provides is impressive, ensuring devices and equipment are powered, even in the most remote locations. The ability to charge it using solar panels (purchased separately) is an excellent touch, turning it into a sustainable power source that's eco-friendly.
The three 1000W AC outlets are more than ample for most needs, be it charging up camping gear, running a mini fridge, or powering up a speaker system for those park outings. The idea that I can have such a significant power reserve in places without any outlets is nothing short of remarkable.
However, a couple of aspects could be improved. Portability, for one, is slightly hindered by its weight. While it's expected for a product with this capacity, maneuvering it from one place to another can be a tad cumbersome. Furthermore, with the release of a newer lithium-powered version, the price point of this model feels a tad steep. I believe a revised price would make it more appealing, especially to those on the fence about such an investment.
Overall, the Jackery Explorer 1000 serves its purpose beautifully for outdoor enthusiasts, but potential buyers might want to weigh the pros and cons, especially considering the evolving market and newer models available.

Okay, I will start out by saying I am a U.S Service-member with over twenty years of Honorable service. With that being said I've done multiple tours to almost every desert in the Middle East, tours in tropical environments, tours in some pretty secluded off grid undisclosed locations. I only put this out there because I've had the pleasure of being a Jackery customer for years and years and the Jackery 240 portable power station, , the Jackery Solar Saga 60w tri-fold panels, and the small Jackery portable chargers were compact and lightweight enough to fit into my pack with ease and leave me room for the other essentials. Imagine being in the middle of nowhere and have a weeks worth of power at your fingertips for recharges, lights, portable fans, small burner for coffee and cooking. Then being able to say it never failed you, always recharged quickly, and has been through the worlds harshest conditions and environments, yet functions like the day you pulled it out of the box. So this began my Jackery passion. Which led me to purchase the Jackery 500. Everything I've said above applies to the 500 ten fold folks. Being Military my pay isn't great so I've had to accumulate these items over the course of years, however never have I had to justify spending the money to my wife, as long as I said the word Jackery. Because she's used the items as well here at home guard. My son plays Football and daughter plays soccer in the Nevada desert just miles away from where the annual Burning Man event is held. Hot dry desert climate, no trees for shade, just direct unrelenting heat. This genius woman, the love of my life used our Jackery Portable power stations to run dual fans, and a small refrigerated trucker cooler during daytime practices in a pop up sunshade tent, all neatly placed in one of those little soccer mom wheeled totes, and a folding low loveseat chair. Talk about super mom, with lots of friends who also wanted to stay cool. Then when night fell and the kids weren't finished with practice, my lovely wife handed over the Jackery 500 to the coaches who then plugged LED lights into it and lit up the field for the kids giving us an extra hour or two to practice without the heat. This convinced her to give me permission to buy the SolarSaga 100w panels. Money was tight but she gave me the go ahead and we've never looked back and haven't got an ounce of regret or buyers remorse for a single product. But this review is neither for the the Jackery 240, the Jackery 500, the SolarSaga 100w or 60w panels. It's not even for the Jackery portable chargers. This review is to let you know, the day the Jackery 1000w Portable Power Station became available we did not hesitate for a second to buy it. With the stories we heard from friends about California and Washington power outages, the Covid-19 Pandemic, and any one of the many RV trips we take into Gods country to get away from it all for a few weeks, we both agreed this was the best thing for our family. Why use heavy loud generators, carry fuel, deal with all that monotonous nonsense, when you could literally live off the Jackery Families products. I say Family because over the years I've had multiple email contacts and numerous phone calls with them, and every interaction was amazing. Courteous, professional, and the products are literally second to none. The Jackery 1000 is my newest addition and there's nothing I can say about it that the 240 or 500 don't already represent. Twice the power, twice the life, multiple solar panel options, can recharge through car, wall, or good ol sunshine. I could get technical and go down the path as some of these reviewers do, but you anyone can read the box. I can sum everything the box says by just telling you that these products, put out by this amazing company, can enhance anyone's life, save somebodies life, and will probably last your the rest of yours. It's a no brainer for us. I've purchased every product so far with a smile knowing its perfect and the people handing it to me care enough to treat you as if you were family.
