I got the medium size Golden Gate Ficus and a clamp on grow light as a birthday gift for my wife who is pretty much a horticultural goddess. We just sold our house and moved into an apartment for the time being so she had to downsize her garden and the overall size and number of her plants considerably. It came very well packaged and the soil was still damp. She loves it so I'm thinking she's already hooked on a new plant hobby.

I have always wanted a bonsai and after reading the reviews for this one and this company, ordered the small one as a desk tree. It arrived in great packaging - perfectly stable and all the leaves were vibrant and perky.
I ordered a hydration tray w/pebbles and a little LED grow lamp as well as some fertilizer pellets for the soil. The tree is beautiful! I named him George. Yes, after that cartoon. Couldn't help myself.

Sick Plant, Aphid infestation found.

The plant was infested with aphids! The plant came VERY sick, with black spots on the leaves. Upon further inspection, the roots were infested and there was sticky gunk everywhere. After FULL cleaning of the plant, re pot, new soil it would seem that the plant was too damaged to save, although still trying because its alive. New growth continues to wither, and the trunk now show signs of a legion. The death of this poor tree is inevitable. I suggest the that the green house is inspected, as this may be the case with all of the plants from this seller.

More stars please! I grow many types of plants - mostly indoor plants. Last year I purchased the Bonsai Indoor Juniper. It is incredible and growing nicely as a Bonsai should. So I decided to purchase the ficus. It came in today and what a beautiful, healthy plant it is. The trunk is highly gnarled giving it the classic Bonsai look. The leaves are bright, vivid green. The pot is very sturdy and decorative. I look forward to many years of enjoying this plant. Highly recommend!

My ficus arrived promptly, super well packaged. His soil is still moist, and it looks like he's got a bunch of slow release fertilizer already added. Quite a bit of green foliage, great twist in the trunk which is maybe an inch thick at the base. Looks like a very well trained, well cared for tree. Great job guys.
