This moisture meter for the price has been very accurate and overall has worked very well. I recently cut down a very large white pine tree and milled it on a Wood Miser ban saw and have been drying the wood in my basement since last July. I needed a moisture meter to figure out when I could begin working with this wood. So, after reviewing almost every meter on the market both digital and pin type meters, I chose the

works good to detect leaks... i needed to detect why there was some humidity at the bottom of a wall near the patio.... it really help me a lot, detecting two possible suspects, a pipe and an outside plug, and following with a few more pinches in the wall, to confirm that the pipe was good not leaking and that the only probability was the outside plug... so replaced the outside plug, new seals,etc, and now is showing the wall is dry. works nice. it have a setting for dry wall/wood and another for brick/masonry. you have to push it hard enough to make a little holes in the wall, but no hard enough to bend the pins. best of all, i didnt need to break the wall to find that... just pinching here and there.
