Quiet and accurate.

This clock is more expensive than others in this size range. However, you get what you pay for. The second hand, is, indeed, silent. And it keeps really good time. We have had it for a number of weeks and it is keeping great time.

This is my second Seiko quiet sweep, and I find it keeps perfect time. I love it because as the name indicates, there's no annoying TICK TICK TICK to focus on in the middle of the night when you can't sleep because you've been traumatized by election results.
Sleek look, quiet, and accurate. What more can you ask?

I have enjoyed the quiet sweep second hand on this clock. No more tick-tick-tick while trying to read. This was a replacement clock for a similar one that lasted about 50 years and that just stopped keeping good time even with new batteries. Very pleased with the updated look of this new Seiko. Not only is it extremely quiet, it keeps accurate time. :-)

Spent more because I thought Seiko had a good reputation! WRONG! Whatever happened to Quality Control? The frame is "plastic like" and bubbly. If touched, it will peel off. Shame on you, Seiko! Don't know if I'll have to spend more to return this piece of junk, plus take it to UPS...

If you want to be ripped off, here's your chance!

After looking for months for a nice wall clock that was also quiet, I thought I had found the perfect clock. Yes, I did read all of the other reviews about it eventually starting to make noise. I had hoped Seiko had corrected the problem, but they didn't. As soon as I put the battery in and hung it up, it made a soft scraping-like noise when the second hand reached the number 4 until about the number 7, and then it was perfectly quiet again. The noise was not enough to make it want to send it back. Now, after a relatively short period of time owning it, it has now quit keeping time. I have replaced the batteries several times thinking perhaps I didn't have a fresh enough one in. But no, it loses time terribly. It's probably way too late to send it back. I am very disappointed because I love the look of the clock. It was exactly what I was looking for. Clean, modern in appearance and for the most part, quiet. But it is not worth the money, and until Seiko fixes the issues, I would not recommend purchasing it.
