It took my husband and myself over 5 hours to put together. Still had problems with the lift, door hinges (the directions did not indicate the direction to put the desk part of the hinge), and the panels to attach the lift panel. The holes need to line up but the directions didn't indicate and we didn't know until it was time. Had to take it apart to make it work. Also, the directions for which screw for which connection wasn't as clear as it could have been. Maybe, even better, use the same size screw to eliminate the confusion.

with some tool and mechanical know how, it went together without much problems. some screw mix up. not for the novice or faint of heart if you don't know much about tools or mechanical -get some help.
because instructions are shotty at best. once assembled the things is beautiful and does the job.

I have a large heavy duty sewing machine and this cabinet handles it beautifully. I love how it folds up to practically nothing when not in use. One piece of the cabinet was damaged in shipping. I called the company and told them. They shipped the new piece that day with absolutely no hassle!
