Do not buy these no matter your skill level.

These are simply not square, and therefore pretty worthless for trying to weld something at a right angle. I bought great welding square from Genuine Metalworks, you can find them at @genuine_metalworks on Instagram. It costs about $10 more and is an accurate and durable product. Not spam, just trying to save others the time I wasted with these, and recommend a product that really works!

For light weight, hobby type use, they might be fine. When you really need to be square, pay the extra money and buy stronghand! We wasted $150 buying these just to turn around and buy stronghand.
Not completely square

"For welding perfect 90-Degree corners on square tube." Unfortunately, no. The vertical draft angle on the fixed jaws prevent this. I measured a deviation of .025" over 2". So you might be square from the top/plan view, but from the side you're more like 91-degrees.
Inferior to much cheaper products

This clamp is garbage. It has a tendency for the wede to start pushing up as tightened, so if you are not careful your work can end up twisted. The Harbor Freigh clamp at 1/4 the retail price is far superior and that one is lackluster itself. Since Bessy is financially out of the question.
helps to create true 90 degree corners.

this works well for spot welding corners. It has really helped with my accuracy to create a 90 corner. Take a minute to set your pieces up in it and it will pay dividends. I've read reviews of it breaking and I see no evidence of this being a problem. I do not crank it down hard, just snug enough to hold my pieces in place for spot welding. I will be purchasing a second to speed up projects.
