A bit too small

I only both the mail-box not the pole. This mail box is not great. It works as one expects it should, fair. The mail men will not sort the letters from the junk mail so that they just shove all the mail together in the lock box section and then crush the rest of the mail into the top section of the box. There are better boxes, but this one was selected because it would be compliant with the old mail boxes in the home-owners group who did not want to buy new boxes. I believe that a larger single slotted opening into the front of the box, that is locked, would be preferable to this one. Your mail is not so apt to get crushed. Hopefully, if you got a large mailed box delivery, that would not fit into the slot in your box, the mail man would drop it off at your house.

The materials used in the construction of this mailbox are of good, heavy-duty quality. However, the manner in which this mailbox was assembled at the factory is extremely poor. The door is warped/bent so the magnetic catch does not meet properly. The door hangs open all the time. I am extremely disappointed in the workmanship of this product because of the price point. It was obviously a manufacturing issue rather than shipping damage as the box was well packed and arrived in good condition. As I'm reasonably proficient at "handy man" type things, I can probably disassemble it, bend the door back into shape and/or shim the magnetic catch so it will stay shut, but these things take time.. Time that I shouldn't have to spend repairing a mailbox that I just spent over $110 on. I would definitely not recommend this mailbox to anyone who doesn't have the time and know-how to repair and adjust it before installation.

This is a nice mailbox, and it comes with the mounting board. With the powder coated aluminum construction, I think it will last a good long time. Believe it or not, my mailman gave me a complement on my new box!
