I bought this mailbox for our wedding and we will use it when we finally buy a house.

Ours came looking exactly like the photo. It was a lot bigger than I expected - I had gotten the impression that this box was smaller than average - it's definitely an average size mailbox.

My big concern though is the flag, it's a little too cloose to the mailbox and scrapes the side a bit when you pull it up and put it down. No scratches so far though.

They also sent a piece of wood to help mount it, it was smaller than what I imagine one would need to actually mount it, but when I ordered this, I was just expecting the mailbox, so it didn't really bother me that the board didn't fit - a quick trip to the lumber yard would fix that when we actually want to mount it.

This is a strong mailbox but is difficult to install. The wooden piece that is sent with it is too small for the box. There is no place to put large house numbers and the companion post also has no place for house numbers. I still give it 5 stars because the finished product looks great.

This mailbox is absolutely STUNNING!!! The picture does not do it true justice. The copper color looks fantastic on a black iron post. The hummingbirds seem to leap off the sides. Highly recommend

I like the quality of the mailbox and have no issues with it. It is all metal, heavy and larger than my previous one. It easily holds all my (to much) daily mail, circulars and magazines. The raised hummingbirds and vine motif (although they are not that visible) is a nice touch that makes it stand out from the other mailboxes on my street. I will probably highlight the design myself with some subtle gold or silver paint to give it a little more distinction.

After I unpacked the mailbox , I felt that the red flag was a little to close to the side of the box and might cause scratches to it over time. I attempted to bend it out a little ways from the box, not realizing that it was made of cast aluminum, and it broke in half. As you can imagine I was quite disgusted with myself, having just ruined my brand new mailbox. I emailed the seller, Special Lite Products, and explained what had happened and inquired as to whether I could purchase a new red flag to replace the one I had just broke. To my amazement, they replied that they would send me one free of charge. They didn't even request that I pay for shipping! I received the new flag a few days later and easily replaced the broken one. I would like to thank the staff at Special Lite Products for their exemplary customer service and would not hesitate to purchase any of their products in the future.

Bought this along with Special Lite Products SPK-600-CP Ashland Post and Burial Kit, Copper, they look great together. This seems to be a sturdy mailbox however I had a problem with the first mailbox, the door kept falling off. I requested a replacement, and the second one seems to be better constructed. Really the door hinge is just two posts coming off the bottom of the door going into two holes at the bottom of the housing. Very simple, but we'll see over time if it holds up. The magnet is strong, so strong it makes a noise when you open and close it. I think everyone on the street can hear it when I close the mailbox.
