Delicious treat for someone who cannot get fresh lobster.

My husband (the lobster roll lover) would give this five stars, except that fresh lobster is his standard and fresh is simply better, he says. But for someone who lives a thousand miles inland, he adds, this canned Maine lobster is delicious! We're ordering more, right now.
When you don't know what to have for dinner. . .

Awesome!. I hate cooking raw, or precooked lobster in the shell; it makes a mess of the kitchen, stinks it up, and messes the dining table.

We bought three cans, refrigerated them, and served them on a bed of lettuce, with matzo crackers, with cocktail sauce, on a recent camping trip in our RV. After opening, I used a mesh strainer to wash the meat, arranged it on a plate, and served! What a delicious meal, true to the taste of lobster. Pieces were large, hugh full-sections of the claw meat were also in the can, and obviously whole.. I'm now in the process of order more cans -- camping or not -- this is delicious fo any night!
Great Healthy only no additive added can clams I can find

it's more expensive than others but it does not contain additives like others! Well worth it....it's tasty and I do not get sick since there is no additives. I used two cans to make red clam sauce for pasta or clam chowders and it's plenty of clams!
Excellent clams that aren't like rubber and taste the way clams should.

Some people who reviewed these clams have said they're too minced and too few per can. I use them for my own clam chowder and really like them and the broth. The clams taste like they should and aren't rubbery like Snow's no are. The latter are bigger, but to me bigger isn't always better. My easy clam chowder is delicious: one can of Campbell's cream of potato soup, then pour all the clam juice into the can and top off with whole milk, simmer until hot, add the clams and heat a minute more. Put a smidgen of butter in the bowl add soup and enjoy. One can always add a drop of Tabasco if desired or better yet Outerbridge's sherry pepper sauce.
It was what it said, and it was tasty is bisque

Since this listing is combined with other Bar Harbor products, I'll mention my review is to the 6.5 ounce can of Maine Lobster Meat.

The can is lined with paper so the meat mostly doesn't touch metal. It's packed in water. I made a pic of the pieces draining on a paper towel, and you can see the paper to the upper right.

As you can see, it's not a bad assortment. I'm less of a claw meat fan, but it was going in a bisque so it's all good. This was enough to flesh out 32 oz of bisque (chopped, of course).

No pronounced fishy smell, just 'clean fish' type smell. The small bit I tasted by itself was fine, but I do think their best use is as an ingredient in other recipes.

Edit: I used to have some talk about price in this review, because I did it before I learned price isn't supposed to be mentioned in reviews. So, I'll just say that I've lived in coastal states up and down the east side, but now live in a small inland town that doesn't even have its own grocery. I think our days of fresh, cheap seafood are likely over. It's a splurge item for us, but definitely a nice, occasional treat. I've reordered twice since the original review.
