We Replace This Mailbox Every 18-24 Months

This isn't a mailbox that's going to be passed down from generation to generation. We just purchased our third one. It's plastic, so after 18-24 months, it gets discolored and the plastic hinges start breaking. But we like the look of it for our home and getting a new one is only $16-18. Since we're purchasing the same one, we can get away with the same mounting screws and location so the replacement process is easy.
Again, this isn't going to be a family heirloom, but it's a fine mailbox and for what we need - it works.

Not great quality, but can't expect much for the price. The good, the lid will lock into position when open, but loud snapping noise when you do (annoying). Also, it won't sit flush against home to accommodate lid opening. So it that's an issue don't get. Otherwise, fine for basic post.
Bad design for use and mounting

Disappointed in the quality and make. First of all, bought this to mount inside our animal shelter med ward for med pick ups. The top is awful. When you open or close it, you have to use force and it catches on the back. The first one even came looking like it had already been used, so I sent it back and got a replacement, and the top still has the same problem so obviously a design flaw. The second is trying to mount it. Holes at the top I can get with my power drill, but you have to get screws that are incredibly long to use because they put two plastic pieces on the back that prevent you from mounting this flush against the wall. We're keeping it because there are no other options right now and we needed to use this last week, but if I had to use this for mail I would recommend finding something else.
It was clear the quality was not good, so we returned it before installing it

This PLASTIC mailbox was so poorly molded, it took two hands to open before it was mounted. It was clear the quality was not good, so we returned it before installing it. There are other mailboxes slightly above this price-range made of metal, which open and close well, and will weather better. We bought one of those, instead.

I bought two...sent them back due to the plastic part in back that wont allow it to be flat against the wall also it was made very cheaply and the plastic on the lid clicked every time you opened it due to the plaatic rubbing together
