This product worked great for my use. I haven't mastered finding the depth but when needed will come back to these reviews as there are some excellent recommendations how to properly use the product. Was able to trace the wire for at least 400 feet which included obstacles and found one spot I had been looking for where it had been tapped with a circuit being taken off going a different direction. Now I know where to dig to make some alterations.
I would recommend it but you need some baseline understanding the instructions are lacking.

Both units work very well. Like most things from Greenlee it is well built. Instructions are OK but not written for a novice. There are extra tips for the tempo 200 inductive amplifier. But there is absolutely no mention of them in the instruction manual. Most folks can figure it out but it should be included. I would recommend it to anyone doing sprinkler service/repair its a huge time saver!

It was dead on arrival. I pulled all the batteries and tested each one individually. All the batteries were OK but needle on meter would not budge on any setting under any condition. Thankfully, I ordered from Amazon. I will probably reorder and try again. Will prepare another review or update this on assuming the next unit works when it is received. Very disappointing for a $600 unit.
