Tubing subject to cracking. A fellow RN had the same issue with hers.

Stethoscope worked well and I loved the color. Unfortunately the tubing cracked. I checked with Littmann and was unable to contact them via phone and have not heard back from my email. The warranty is 3 years, I ordered mine October 8, 2015. I'm still under warranty but cannot get in touch with anyone.

I've been using an adult stethoscope on newborns for a year (I bought my adult stethoscope when I was I nursing school). When I got hired, I put off buying an infant stethoscope, mainly because I taught the adult one worked just fine. I finally decided to by this stethoscope, and oh my goodness, it makes a HUGE difference. With my adult stethoscope I had trouble listening to heart murmurs on babies. Works well but decieved by the color. Responses to "Customer Questions" states this stethoscope is purple just like in the picture; that couldn't be further from the truth. I received mine today and even the box says "Raspberry"; it's raspberry. The product description needs to include the true color! Very disappointed!
