I think I'm one of the few using a Milwaukee compact router for mortising doors, but I didn't want to just trade it for something "better", so I opted to get this to at least give me more control when working. I was surprised it was not see through, like more router bases. I'm usually working with a jig and a template, so technically I should be fine, but I still have an issue with that. The company is and seller is great. I had an issue with a handle not attaching to the base and they sent me a new handle immediately. Great customer service.

Found this while searching the internet for just this item and all the time one of my favorite places to shop had it in stock. The only other similar item I found that would fit the Bosch Colt was from Micro Fence to the tune of $400.00 and an additional $40.00 for adapter rings.. WHEW. Boy was I glad I found this. It comes just as you see it advertised on Amazon, the base, the handles and even the correct screws to mount it. Bolts right up to the Colt and makes it so easy to control the little brute. I would definitely recommend the purchase of this item to anyone who owns the Colt trim router. This item is also available for Porter Cable 310, Rigid R2400, and also as an undrilled plate for use on just about any trim router. At a price of $26.99 it is definitely a 5 star item.

This is my favorite router base plate to date and I have owned many. The bosch colt is an excellent router but it is very top heavy and narrow, so this base provides the stability you need for edging materials. I like the large knobs and that the plate is made out of a durable plastic that is faced with a low friction material like melamine. This is a must have type of plate to keep in your tool box for applications that require absolute stability and co-planer routing to your work surface.
Awesome unit, well built, one small drawback. Worth the money, and highly recommended even with the drawback.

I use 2 routers in my arsenal, the Ridgid R2401 and a Bosch MR23. I love all the versatility of the big Bosch, and the plunge base lives on the thing, and of late I've been doing A LOT of template routing.
I needed a way to use my Porter-Cable bushings on the Ridgid to work some trim work where the Bosch simply was too heavy for me to use to mortise out door strikes in a vertical position. So I started looking either a plunge base or some other kind of base for the Ridgid so I could control it better for the job. I found this Woodhaven 8330 and gave it a try.
A) the 2 handles make for a big difference in control than holding the router around its throat.
B) it is designed to take PC bushings out of the box, so I was off to the races immediately.
C) the build quality is great.
My only gripe is that the base is made of laminate instead of plexiglass or acrylic. So you can't see thru it and the router's light becomes absolutely useless.
But it works so great for what I need it that I can't give it less than 5 stars.
If Woodhaven ever updates it and makes a clear base version, I'll buy that too.
