Which is super strange and it makes the bars get super close ...
Lucas Alcalde•January 31, 2018
It said it fit the 2011 Jeep Liberty but that's not true. Had to do some work to them in order to make them fit. Also, the way the rail attachments are designed, the more your tighten them; the more the bars will bend. Which is super strange and it makes the bars get super close to the roof of the car. I don't know why I decided to go the cheap route when it comes to car racks, finally bought some solid ones.

Hauled all of our luggage for my wife and our Pyrenees so he had room in the back. I had to modify them to work on my 15 golf sportwagen but once cut down and modified they worked great. Left no marks and they are really low profile compared to the stock cross bars. The didn't move at all in 1500 miles of driving, and I checked them often. If you need a good set and you can modify them a little bit, I would recommend them.
Interference on Patriot, but works!
Cameron•June 10, 2017
I have a 2012 jeep patriot, the rails are used to hold a curt roof rack on and have been been continously for 4 months now without an issue. As many other patriot owners have said, they do interfere with the roof because the stock patriot rails are so low to the metal body. As a consequnce, the rails sit about 1cm above the rails. By tightening them down like crazy I haven't had an issue yet. It could be because the rack provides additional structural support by connecting the two. If I were to remove the rack, I would probably file down the ends of the rack clamps so they they wouldn't interfere anymore.
Different, inferior product delivered
James P. Serednicky•July 30, 2016
Product delivered was not as pictured, did not have side clamp to secure to car rails. Product delivered was a cheap facsimile, round tubes, requires a tie down strap and does not stay in place. Buyer beware.
Very pleased with these crossbars! Way better than the name brand bars installed previously (which broke twice).

I bought these from Rage Powersports and my service experience was so good that I would highly recommend buying this type of product from them before any other sellers.
The quality is good and the bars feel solid and strong. I put a large, wide hard shell aluminum car top carrier loaded with luggage on these cross bars and did 50 hours of driving over spring break. They fit our Toyota Sienna perfectly (side rails were already installed) and stayed snugly attached with no need to retighten. There was no whistling or wind noise and despite driving through some high winds and heavy rain, they did not slip, bend, or loosen whatsoever.
The best feature for me was how easy they were to put on and take off. Just twist the plastic wingnuts by hand, no tools or great strength required. I debated whether I needed cross bars that lock, but with the carrier on top there was little point locking the bars on as well. And because they are so fast and simple to put on and remove, I will just keep the bars off when we are not using the car top carrier. So I am glad I did not get locking bars with more pieces that could break or rust or whistle. And the price for these was excellent--a third the price of comparable name-brand items. If you have an SUV, minivan, or large sedan you should not need bars any wider than these at 49.75". The grips will adjust as narrow as you would ever need, but for very small vehicles the bars would probably stick out too far over the doors to be safe.
