Gave as gifts to my high school senior engineering students - they love them - very cool way to change the pen color!
While this pen features a fantastic system of selecting from 3 different useful tools

While this pen features a fantastic system of selecting from 3 different useful tools, the ink is so abysmal from what I'm used to using, skipping often and not writing smoothly at all, that I am returning the pen for something else. For the price I would expect much much more than what this pen provided.
nice weigh and balance

smoothest micro refill, nice weigh and balance, and the matte metal barrel give heft and grip.
nothing better

I am so glad the Rotring pens are available in the USA again. I have used them for almost 40 years. Very solid construction and feel.
... hoping for a high quality writing piece with a comfortable grip while handling
CallawApril 10, 2016
I purchased this pen hoping for a high quality writing piece with a comfortable grip while handling. While the pen writes decent (I'd give it 3 out of 5 stars for this), I am disappointed with the grip, or lack of. It is a metal casing and tends to slip while writing. Another issue, though minor, is when removing the eraser cap, the eraser typically removes with it, requiring you to reinstall the eraser in its cradle. For the most part the pen is of better quality, though I do not believe it is exceptional for the cost it comes with.
