The chuck does not work well every time. It tends to get loose when using the hammering drill. I found that the plastic around the chuck base got loose, so I bonded it to the chuck and now I can tight the chuck very hard so the loosening problem has become less irritant.

I have given up on other brands I just seem to have better luck with Makita tools. I have saws and drills that I use daily that were bought in 1985 and the still work and all I have done is replace the brushes switch or cords I mean 30 years. This replaced a year old Bosch.
