It works fine after I got the hang of it. The mechanism that locks it to the work piece is sometimes hard to get locked in place. Works well when set up properly.

Precision takes a rock-solid reference-edge to guide your tool. Cordless circular saws are great for getting wood for your project to fit in your vehicle as well as for all the times it works better taking the tool to the wood rather than the wood to the tablesaw, router table, bandsaw, etc. Dado cuts are next :-)

This is an extremely handy tool to have. I can now make precise cross cuts and route without having to worry about clamping a straight edge down all of the time. Seems to tighten snugly on the material and I have not had any problems with it slipping on me. The low clearance of this straight edge is also a big perk.
It worked great for a while.

Well, after owning this and the larger one for 4 years now, I can say that maybe it's not designed to last a long time. What happens is that the metal plates cut into the metal bar and eventually it makes adjustment impossible. The plastic sliding clamp just doesn't want to move any more, no matter how much I try. It's a shame because the rest of the tool is just fine. Maybe I'm supposed to replace the metal rod once in a while? I don't know. I'll have to check that out, but otherwise, the tool is now basically unusable because of the numerous cuts in the metal rod.
