Helps rough grinding
Great Tool.

This is exactly what I need so that my grinder can be used to reshape turning tools before going to the Tormek for final sharpening. This accessory allows me to set up the jigs identically on the grinder as well as the Tormek. Great Tool.
Wish I'd bought this years ago !

I just got the grinder attachment, & I highly recommend it for 2 reasons. 1) reshaping tools like skews with large flat surfaces is significantly faster (read this as mins vs hrs), and 2) the grinder wheel is significantly less expensive ($40 vs $210) to replace so doing the rough work there prevents having to replace the Tormek's stone as soon.

I recently bought a Tormek system because I was (and remain) convinced that it produces sharpness that I haven't been able to match with a conventional grinder. The first real problem I encountered was that it takes hours to reshape tools with the Tormek. After reshaping one 11/4" skew with the "Raffan grind", I was ready to give up. I saw this on line and bought it - it was the solution I needed. Now I can, and do, shape my tools on a conventional grinder using the BGM100 and a conventional grinder - much faster. After shaping, I go to the Tormek, use the coarse stone, fine stone, and honing features and start using the tool. Much better.
