Amazing quality

It's a great kitchen. Very big and with lots of "storage" space for all of their toys and pots. Only 4.5 hours to assemble.
I like it a millions times more than the plastic kitchens they sell for half the price
. This one is built to last. I know, because I built it! The amount of screws is enough to hold my weight and more.
It's sturdy and interactive. You can twist the knobs and they make sound.
The phone on the side is a bad idea. It can get lost. I would have liked an old fashion one with a cord better.
Because my husband assembled it there are beige screws on white wood.

There was A LOT to assemble. I would definitely say it's a two person job.
But the kids LOVE it.
I have a 3 yr old, a 2 yr old and a 1 year old.
They ALL love it.
It's a great sturdy product that comes with extra pieces like screws and stuff.

I love this kitchen! I looked at several and decided that this matched her room and it was an adorable piece. It does take a long time for assembly but we'll worth it. I have 4 stars because for the price it has several dings and the decals are very smeared. Will call customer service to try to replace the gouged refrigerator door.
Too short for my 4 year old

We did not end up keeping this kitchen, but we still had a very pleasant experience, and some insight that might help someone else make a decision -
I was looking for a kitchen that would be big enough for my 4 year old, and after lots and lots of research, I decided on the KidKraft Grand Gourmet Corner Kitchen. I gave my little one a few choices that I had narrowed it down to, and she was really interested in the laundry machine feature of this one. I placed the order on a Monday, and was so so excited that Amazon was able to get it shipped to us by Tuesday! After I placed the initial order, I realized that I had somehow overlooked the fact that the total kitchen height was only 36". My little one is on the small side for her age, but I wanted something taller than her 39". All of the reviews on this kitchen led me to believe that it would be big enough for her at 4 & even 5, then I came across a picture for another Kidkraft item that showed an older child next to this style kitchen and I knew it wouldn't work for us (picture attached). I called Amazon and scheduled a return before we even received the item. They were so helpful. The order arrived on Tuesday, a pickup was scheduled for Wednesday, UPS came around 5pm and a credit was issued around 6:30pm. I could not be happier with Amazon's customer service. I was able to order a new kitchen (we went with the KidKraft Deluxe Big & Bright Kitchen which is 43" tall and couldn't be happier, picture attached) and received it by Friday!
I think this kitchen will probably be adorable for a younger toddler ages 2-3, but if you are looking for an older child, I would consider one of the kitchens that reach 43" (KidKraft has several).

I Would Buy it Again and Again!

I would buy this again in a heart beat. It is worth every penny you will spend on it and more! My children (son age 3 and daughter age 5) play with this daily. I have it set up in the corner of the playroom so that they can go to either side of the window and this allows for hours of play. The kitchen has counter space to add additional items such as toasters and play food sets. The fridge has lots of room as does the freezer. It has both a microwave and an oven with two shelves (which fit the Melissa and Doug Slice and Bake Cookies Perfectly - see my other review on those) There is additional storage under the microwave. Here, we keep several play food sets. The kitchen has a 2 burner stock and pegs above to hang pots and pans. It also comes with a cloths washer (or dryer?) which I found a little odd; however, odd as it may be, my kids love it and keep baby doll bibs and dish cloths inside. There is additional storage under the cloths washer/dryer. This is an excellent that has much play value (think puppet show through the window).
Now, putting it together. I did it myself and I am not very handy but, can follow directions. The directions are clear and it is simple enough. If you have 2 people available it will make things go smoother. Oh, and don't order it at the last minute and try to put it together on Christmas Eve after you put the kids to bed (not that I did that or anything... hmmm...) as it could lead to much frustration.
