Bought one for my girlfriend and it's become her main bag for university. It looked really small but when you feel the strength of the outer material you'll appreciate this thing can fit a lot of stuff inside. There is a backing section where you can put books that you'd like to keep upright. The surface is water proof so you don't have to worry about anything inside getting wet. Awesome bag!

Haven't inspected a verified authentuc kanken in person so I can't say whether or not it's real but I can say that I absolutely love it. The label is not reflective though. I bought it in black and the material seems to be getting a little worn where it creases or wrinkles. The material seems thick and sturdy. The size is perfect and it is comfortable and very light weight even when full of the same stuff that made my previous backpack feel heavy/bulky. I keep my 11" MacBook Air, some books, my lunch, water bottle, coffee/tea bottle, sometimes shoes or extra clothes and a thin, flat bag for my smaller stuff so it's easy to find. Headphones, small wallet, phone, keys in front pocket and sunglasses in side pocket. Am very happy with this purchase overall.
