It does not hold large Invicta watches.....the drawer would not close with a 52mm Invicta and the same watch hit the glass if you put it up top.....the bays were wide enough but not deep enough for large Invicta's

I purchased this as a gift for my son to replace an older watch display box that was accidentally damaged. The first order of this box arrived in good condition, but the drawer was stuck in the closed position. We returned and reordered and the second was fine. My son really likes the burl finish. and for the price, this is a really nice display case. It's really about setting expectations. This is not a $500 handmade piece of cabinetry with exotic wood and brass hinges, but it is very nice. The lid closes nicely, seams are flush and the finish (not real wood) is attractive. The interior compartments are nicely covered, the pillows are appropriately sized and it appears all watches except the very largest will fit. The insert on the top is plastic, not glass and there was a tiny bit of glue residue around one edge of the plastic. Not a big deal. I'd buy it again.

I've had the watch box for about a week. To be honest, it's nicer than I expected. Some reviewers indicated poor quality or bad construction. I can see no flaws on or in the box. I'm impressed with the look of the wood grain finish. I don't know what it is (veneer, or something else) but I really like it. The construction seems solid and the goldtone hinges are all snug and work smoothly.
My largest watches are about 47mm and they fit in the upper compartments with a lot of room to spare. In fact, they fit in the smaller bottom compartments, without hitting the sides. The pillows are a bit too stuffed for my taste. It takes a little work to get some of the bands around them.
I look forward to a long, pleasant relationship with this product.

This is a very nicely made box. The finish is not genuine wood, but instead is a paper product. However, it looks great. The other 'wood' is particle board as far as I can tell from the underside of the box, no solid woods used. But that is okay, lots of products are made with this material. The box is well constructed and all parts are squared up and fit with precision. The slots for the watches are indeed large enough for my very big Invicta watches. The drawer slots are slightly smaller but still plenty big and my 'standard' sized watches fit with lots of extra space around them. I am quite pleased with this watch box.
It came packed in three shipping boxes! The factory box, with styrofoam boards inside to cushion the watch box from impacts, and then a regular shipping box outside of that. Thirdly, it is placed into another shipping box by Amazon so it is basically bomb proof when shipped.
