Wow, this is a prime example of "you don't know what you don't know". All of my rifles were have been sighted in for years/decades and were mounted ensuring proper eye relief and crosshairs were level. Figured that was good enough, and it was for the most part as most of my hunting rifles were deadly at 100-200 yards with some shooting sub-MOA groups. Recently decided I wanted to start shooting long range and that is when I ran into issues. Upon some research, came across this mounting/lapping kit and figured I'd give it a "shot". Come to find out every single one of my scopes was out of whack to varying degrees. All were corrected with the lapping bars and the results are amazing. Couldn't be more impressed with this kit and highly recommend it for any avid shooter out there and wish I would have purchased this years ago.

Side note - the torque wrench comes with a calibration certification as well and seemed to be spot when I was using it between 15 and 30lbs.

PSS - previous review mentioned he thought he had a used kit because the Loctite bottle had a burn mark on it...mine had that as well but was clearly a new kit. Odd that they all seem to have the same burn mark in the same spot and had I not read the previous review, it would have made me question it as well.

This kit makes installing a scope the right way very easy!

I won't ding the product for this, it's clearly Amazon or Wheeler but I received a used kit despite paying for a new one. The box was taped.
When I opened it, it smelled like something burned, upon closer inspection I saw the blue lock tight has a big burn on the side which smelled. Opening the blue lock tight it was clear it had been used. My guess is someone bought this, used it to mount a scope, somehow managed to burn the blue lock tight, then quickly returned it. Amazon and/or Wheeler then didn't check it was unused.

Love this set. It is heavy! I used the FAT wrench to mount a scope. Have not used the other parts of the kit yet. But they appear well made and will last a lifetime. The levels included with the kit are a bit cheap. I got the other leveling kit from Wheeler and that worked well.

Nice kit for the money. The torque tool covers the span of typical hardware used for scope mounting. The tool bits are nice, but you are going to need a few different ones for contingencies like the Torx T10 for scope base screws. Also comes with some thread locker (Purple) for small fasteners, but didn't come with degreaser or primer. A little extra storage space in the case for those contingencies would put this set over the top. Eventually, you use up the tube they give you and an alternate brand may not fit in the formed storage spot. Still a good set for having almost all of it in one place.

Everything in the kit worked fine except the reticle leveling system . You can place the two levels side by side and one reads about an 1\8 bubble off. Wheeler should charge a little more and include their professional leveling system in this kit. Anyone who goes to that much expense and trouble to mount a scope is NOT going to be happy with that leveling system.
