Great first knives to get kids helping in the kitchen

Got these as a suggestion from Montessori websites as good first knives to start letting our kids help in the kitchen. I am so glad I bought them! They are exactly what I hoped they'd be - high-quality and super sturdy so they can cut through most vegetables and foods and teach kids proper safety, but not sharp enough to harm the kids (but keep fingers out of the way!) My daughter has helped me cut bell peppers, carrots, potatoes. It's been so much fun. The serrated side is actually pretty sharp and could scrape someone so store them carefully. They are easy to clean and seem like they'll last for a long time. My only wonder is how long they'll stay sharp since you can't resharpen them. But for the price I would happily order a new pair!

These knifes are not what I expected. I understand is hard to say as are supposed to be for kids. However given my kids love to help me cook and prep I was hoping for a set that would allow them to help. These knives sadly don't cut much of anything (EG: Carrots, Celery, Parsley) they even tear bread when cutting sandwiches and/or loaf.....I believe I should've researched these better

Wanted these for cutting pies and anything baked in my metal pans. They cut very well and doesn't scratch the pans. They are a bit think so cutting a piece of pie is a little tricky but still does the job after a little practice. Very sturdy knives and dishwasher safe too. Good price for the three knives.

My six year old (and 3 year old) both want to help in the kitchen so I got these knives for them to use for chopping salads and easy things. They are good quality and seem to be pretty sturdy. You do need to keep an eye on the kids when they are cutting b/c the knives do have a sharp edge, but they are pretty safe otherwise.

These are great for teaching kids the importance of safety with sharp knives and proper technique. My 5 and 7 year old daughters slightly struggle if cutting carrots or chunks of potatoes, but otherwise they use them with ease. I would not trust my kids with real knives yet, but these are perfect for practicing.
