Loud noises. Died on me.
Arachne•November 27, 2016
I used this several times but could not get over the loud, fire-alarm like beep that sounded off every time it touched skin. It made it difficult to work with because it would sound off long before it reached the root of the hair.
The "needle" also didn't seem to be long enough half the time to reach the root. Be careful not to touch the metal that surrounds the needle to your skin! That's what would happen when it wouldn't reach the root.
Also, you will need an extra bright light and a mirror with the highest magnification power you can find. I had a desk lamp (not bright enough) and a 5x mirror and it was a bit difficult to see the pore.
I tried to stick with the routine but was inconsistent. It did take the hair longer each time to grow back. However, after about the 10th use it stopped working (I changed the battery to make sure). Now I have 3 packs of tips for the thing that I can't use and I don't want to buy another one because of the terrible nois it makes!
If it doesn't die on you AND you stick with it, I could see it permanently removing the hair.

Dont do it!

I tried to give this the benefit of the doubt after reading a good review stating you just need practice and a lit magnified mirror... WRONG! You have to have extreme patience and a very steady hand! You have to be able to stick the probe down the root of the hair to the base and then hold it there, all while having damp fingers because it wont work if they are not. Save your money, time, and aggravation.

If I could give this 0 stars I would. Terrible product, needle bends as you insert it into the hair follicle. You don't feel any current at all. I get electrolysis regularly and wanted to use this product for traveling purposes to stay on schedule with my treatment and its awful. As a licensed Esthetician who knows everything about hair removal, I have to say this is a horrific product.

Love that I can do my own electrolysis in the convenance of my own home. This little machine seems to be doing the trick after about 8 weeks of concentrated effort on my chin and upper lip I'm seeing considerably less hair growth. Excited to finally have this embarrassing problem behind me.
Not worth it, dont do it.

I got this to remove some unsightly hairs in the privacy of my home. From the description i thought it would be pretty easy to use. I attempted to use this thing a few times.... and my conclusion was that honestly, either go to a professional or leave the hairs alone lol. I know electrolysis isnt cheap, so try finding a groupon or something.
Firstly the way this works is , you need to insert a needle like tip into the hair follicle and it burns the hair follicle. Besides for being painful, its also really hard to do on yourself. You need to hold it steady and slide a thin little needle into a hair follicle?? Nope, at least I couldn't, and I have pretty steady hands. In addition, if you're not extra sanitary i can only imagine this will lead to minor infections of the hair follicle.
Theres a reason people pay so much to go to a professional apparently... This thing is just sitting in my drawer, and i get angry every time i see it lol. Not worth it.
