As always, I like to use a product and give it a fair shake before I review it. I bought this pump in late July 2017. My initial impression was favorable. I have a fairly large fountain (100ish gallons). I purchased this pump rather than a higher volume pump because I enjoy a more tranquil sound. It had plenty of lift and handled the small debris that occasionally got in the fountain. I run my fountain on a timer, so it operates about 10 hours per day. The pump lasted 6 months then suddenly lost its volume and lift. I tried cleaning it but had no success reviving it. I've used a variety of brands and generally get at least one to two years before I have to replace them. My last one, a Beckett pump, lasted over 3 years. This pump was good while it lasted, but didn't hold up very long.

Solid and reliable pump. Quiet and powerful. Keeps running even when leaves get past the filter. Includes screw in threaded adapter for connecting to vinyl hose. I like the rubber feet that are not suction cups which would get stuck to the bottom of your filter box like my old one. I would check your impeller and ceramic shaft once per year for signs of wear. If you see any wear after a few years I would replace the shaft and impeller or they will start to damage the inside of the pump.

This is a good strong pump so far. I've only had it for about 1 month, but it pumps sufficiently to make my small waterfall look great. The water really comes blasting out! I have the smaller version of this same pump and it works very well, too. However, the fitting on the outflow nozzle cracked off when I tried to change the tubing, so I had to order a new one, which was a bummer, but it lasted for about 2 years, so not too bad.

I've had the 1000 gallon pond pump since July 2015. It has worked wonderfully until the past couple of weeks when it became sluggish. I called customer service, was on the phone less than 10 minutes and a new pump is on its way. Fantastic customer service. Only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I do need a replacement.

I used this last season without any problem.. stored it away for the winter and pulled it out again this year and the "out" spigot came off.. clean off ..... with no way to attach it.. It snapped off.. I am going to try to contact the company, but I don't believe it should have only lasted a few months.
