I shop a lot on Amazon, as a result of that I don't leave your views often,
Are usually wait at least 4 months. And leave the review after using the product In my everyday life for months I can leave an honest review.
I left 1 star because it broke after using it 1 time.
It was left at the same place,
and 2nd time I opened it, the thing just fell apart in my hands.
I don't want a refund or a new one. Just an honest review for all if you shoppers out there. ( I had to glue it together )

This is a great little backgammon and checkers set. We purchased the smallest size, and it is pretty small...I think it might be a little snug for backgammon, but we hadn't tried it yet. My daughters have been obsessed with playing checkers, and it's a nice board for that too. The pieces are nice smooth wood on one side and a grooved side (for when my kiddos shout "King Me"). It's a nice quality piece for the price. Definitely not the heirloom quality of backgammon board my parents had and I simply didn't appreciate at the time.

It's ok, but nothing special. My issues with the item are:
1. Checkers pieces are not what pictured in photo - I got flimsy quarter-thin lacquered pieces of probably plastic
2. The top of the board is very slippery laminate
3. Combined with plastic checker pieces, it's a combination for pieces sliding every each way unless the board is level. Dropping anything on the board or nudging it will cause all the playing pieces to slide off, guaranteed.
4. The board doesn't have A-H/1-8, it would be nice to have.

Over all I am very pleased. I did open it up to check everything out but we have not officially used it yet as it is a birthday present for my 7 year old son.

The chess pieces have a nice feeling your hand and the felt is done well. The board lays nice and flat and is smooth. There might be one or two discrepancies but overall it's a beautiful board. The backgammon board inside is also well done. I bought this one because I particularly liked the handle it had and I didn't really see a lot of others I liked that had multiple games and folded up.

I was worried about the magnets holding it closed with all the pieces inside but they seem to do a fine job (as shown in the photo). I'm sure that over time they will wear out and eventually might even have to be replaced but for now they seem to do the job very well.

The one downside that I have is that it didn't come with instructions! Perhaps it is assumed that if you're going to spend this much money you know how to play. My son has recently started learning chess but we don't know anything about backgammon. It would be nice to have basic instructions for all the games you can play. It seems kind of silly to spend money on this and not get the instructions but that's, so far, the only negative review I have.

Very disappointed at the quality of the pieces which in no way resembled the pictures. The backgammon/checker pieces were very flimsy and two of the pieces didn't match the others. The dice holders in the picture look like a dark brown leather, ones the came were light pine color and very cheap looking. Not worth the price. This item is being returned.
