I have tried many different eyeglass cords - leather, chain style, etc. The leather ones were stiff and awkward feeling. I suppose the more they were used the more pliable they would have become but in the meantime they just stuck out where they wanted to. The chain ones were a little heavy and I didn't care for them. These lay perfectly and are easy to get on and off. Plus, they don't have to be adjusted and pinched into place. You slide them one and can move them up and down to get them in the position that suits you but once they are there that is it until you move them or take them off your glasses. Glad I found these. After a while they do need to be replaced but not very often at all.

Works great..although I could have made one just like it with a good piece of string. There isn't much to it! (but seriously folks) It works well and stays attached nicely to the frames. No complaints. Don't know why I didn't get one of these years ago. It's awful nice to not be getting up to grab my glasses all the time! They're always there hanging from my neck when I need them. (which these days is OFTEN. I can't see a darn thing anymore!)

I have used many different glass retainers and this is the best because once the part (do not know to call it) that connects to the glasses never needs to be re-adjusted. Actually, it never needs to be tighten the first time since the glass frame is put in a glove like holder that grips the frame and never loses it tension.

Another thing is the length of the string is 26 inches, which I like because it does not feel like the glasses are right under my chin. I use them on all of my glasses including sunglasses.

One warning: if you have a big dog (Lab or similar size) that can put their paws on your chest, the glasses need to be removed because these holders have no give and any downward pressure will pop the rubber end off the string. There is no way to fix that because the rubber glove is not designed to re-thread the string back into the hole. It is a small price to pay for the comfort of these holders, though I lost a couple of pair before learning to simply take my glasses off around the dog.

these really grip, don't come off the glasses and the line is long enough to take off without messing up your hair. I mistakenly told someone they were adjustable. They are not. The cord is 28".

I bought 6 brown Peeper-Leepers and after a week they are still firmly in place on my readers. They have a firm grip. The size is perfect. They are not too long or too short. They are easy to get on the glasses but older, frail people might need so assistance because they are so firm. They appear to be sturdy. I recently purchased a couple more in different colors because I am so happy with them. Both shipments arrived sooner than expected and were individually packaged in small zip lock bag.
