Are you having hip or back surgery soon or have you already! This is a must! I got it for my husband and it has been amazing. He is able to go to the restroom without assistance. Install was easy. Hardware was included. It doesn't move around like a lot of reviews stated. No issues so far. He has been using it for 7 days and it hasn't budged yet.
Husband is 5'7" and 190 lbs. Hope this helps!

The seat spacer works great and is very sturdy

Shipping was unacceptable. Twice the shipping date was pushed back. It took 10 days to get delivered. The bolts to mount it are 3/8 and the mount on my existing seat were 5/16. I had to purchase a new toilet seat to be able to mount with their bolts. I did not want to go lighter with the bolts due to safety concerns. The seat spacer works great and is very sturdy. The handles are firmly mounted and provide secure support. I would buy it again, but would order 2 weeks before I anticipated needing it.
Good but do think the installation through

This elevated toilet seat seems to work very well, with a few tweaks to the installation. I put rubber garden hose washers underneath between the porcelain toilet and the metal washer. I put plastic pads between the porcelain toilet and the elevated seat. And I put cut-down rubber garden hose washers on the top, just under the top of the metal bolt. [The holes in my toilet and toilet seat were large enough to accommodate the large bolts, so I didn't have to drill anything.] Once I had figured out what I wanted to do, the installation was quite easy. It's all in the preparation! Then you have a stable elevated toilet seat (perhaps a bit high). The side bars are okay, but a bit wobbly. I suspect a very large person should not depend on them.
Good product but poor hardware included with the product. Read the review before trying to install.

In response to other reviewers who left negative comments about the stability issues. I have solved the issue and it's a small wonder why the manufacturer hasn't done this. Yes, as ordered the elevated toilet seat is unstable. You simply cannot put plastic washers up against a porcelain toilet seat. Second there is no toilet seat sold that accommodates the large bolts included with this elevated seat. You have to drill out the holes on your existing seat. This is just plain lack of insight on the part of the manufacturer. Here is the fix. On the existing toilet seat you need to drill out the clamp down holes so that the larger bolts will fit through. This is easy if you have a drill. Second; the stability can be solved by using a rubber garden hose washer sandwiched between the porcelain toilet and a metal (zinc) washer. Then put rubber pads on the bottom of the elevated seat between the porcelain toilet and the elevated seat. These rubber pads are the same pads you put on the bottom of table legs or chair legs to keep them from scuffing a wooden floor. Again, the manufacturer should could easily fix this problem if they ever cared enough to READ REVIEWS. Took me about 15 minutes to install. I only needed a large flat blade screw driver and a drill. Before installing; go to the hardware store and pick up 2 rubber garden hose washers, 2 zinc washers same size as rubber washers, and finally a package of rubber floor glides.
Get the one that fits your toilet shape, this is a very good idea and item.

Try to get one that is the same shape as your toilet. This worked for me VERY well because I put a piece of board between the seat and toilet tank. Also, I put items, a box and sponge from large purchase etc, along the sides to prevent side slipping. It works so much better than just the elevated seat having the handles.
