Makes the Space Above the Toaster Oven Useful

This is a "MUST-HAVE" for the Breville Smart Oven. I do not use it as a cutting board but rather a place to keep things atop of the oven: the pizza stone, a quarter-sheet baking pan, and pieces of parchment paper and aluminum foil precut to fit inside the baking pan. The board has feet which are designed to bear the heat from the top of the oven and keep the bamboo a safe 1/2 inch above the oven. The upper surface of the board gets warm to very-warm depending upon the oven temperature and duration of heat but never too hot. I have had it for a year and it still looks like new after using my oven every day. (I treated it with a "Butcher Block Conditioner" of food grade mineral oil and natural waxes.)

Slightly hard, but nice and warm whenever the humans are in the kitchen. Our smart oven pro used to be too hot to step on but this is just right. Prime napping spot. Very nice wood finish and the rubber feet keep anything from burning on top of the oven. Highly recommended!
This will fit on the Smart Oven AIR but a large border around it

The only approved item to be placed on any of the Breville ovens. I wanted the Smart Oven Air cutting board which is larger than this, but it's sold out everywhere I've looked, even the Breville web site. So I'll make do with this one until I can find the one I actually need. It's a fine cutting board, but overpriced, probably due to the heat-resistant feet.

This Breville cutting board is outstanding. I use it on my 800XL. It fits perfect, and it's well built, no junk here ! You can store things on top of the cutting board, as heat does not dissipate from the oven through the board. It's a little pricey, but I was concerned about the price, but once I got it, and put it on top of the smart oven, I knew it was a keeper. Good looks, and more important you can store anything on top of it, just an excellent addition to your smart oven. I highly recommend it.

I am so glad I bought this at the same time as the Breville Oven. My upper cabinet is a bit lower than some, 6.5" from top of the oven to the bottom of the cabinet, so this helps greatly to reduce the heat going up to the cabinet and looks good doing it. I use it to keep a couple of hot pads handy for removing cooked items.
It is a bit more expensive than I usually pay for a cutting board but I am not using it as such. I think it is cheap "insurance" for my upper cabinet "health."
