Great product!
LGreye•January 30, 2018
I applied this to my tub 6+ months ago, and it has worked perfectly. I am not afraid of falling in the shower any more. Recommending it to everyone I know. So much more sanitary than a grody tub mat!!
It was simple to apply, although I did make one mistake: there was more than enough to cover my tub floor, but I was determined to use every drop. After applying, I left the room, and when I came back, the excess had pooled at the lower end of the tub and made 2 slightly yellowish spots. I wiped away the excess, but it had already begun to dry, so didn't get all of the yellow outline up. Lesson learned: just use enough to cover the area, and toss the extra!

Great stuff, just make sure your surface prep is done.

I just applied the product 5 days ago, so far so good. It was very easy to do. I had far more problems removing & cleaning the old anti- slip stickers than applying Slip Doctors. As they say with most paint or similar type products, the quality of the end result is in the preparation. I scrubbed my shower very thoroughly...3 times in fact. I had to do the floor like this in order to remove all of the glue from the previously removed stickers. This scrubbing with a scotch Brite pad per the included instructions took far more than the recommended 5 minute scrub time. I considered using a light grade sand paper to scuff the floor of the shower but chose not to this time. I am confident in the preparation I did being adequate. After allowing the shower to dry fully I applied the product per instructions very quickly & allowed it to dry completely for 24 hours before using the shower. It dried completely clear. I actually had to use a flashlight at a very shallow angle in order to get a look at my handiwork. The grit in the product which gives it it's anti- slip quality was clearly visible & evenly distributed over the entire surface. It works fantasticly & is very comfortable on my feet. Time will tell as to its durability. As I said before however, with any product like this the quality of the end result is all in the surface preparation. The poor reviews I saw on this prior to my purchase were more than likely due to lousy surface preparation. This is usually always a sign of laziness & lack of concern of end results. This then causes blame shifting toward the manufacturer or service provider. At any rate so far this is a great product & I am very pleased with it.
Grippiest stuff ever, and super easy to apply (no cleanup!)

I wish I could go back in time and start using this decades ago. I've always used XL non-slip mats, like Rubbermaid brand mats. Those get so gunked up with hair and soap scum and are hard to really get clean. Also, the suction cups sometimes come loose without warning and the mat will slip out from under you. I just got a knee replacement and my mom who lives with me is 80, so I was quite concerned.
I was initially going to hire a company to put a "sand" texture in my bath, but was quoted almost $200. Instead, I came to Amazon and got two containers of this stuff. I rolled it on myself, for a double-coat (letting dry in between). It's super easy to roll on neatly with the included roller. It takes literally about 2 minutes, with no mess at all, to coat the tub evenly. Then you walk away and let it dry overnight. Once it dries, it is completely invisible in my white tub, and WOW WOW WOW is it GRIPPY. Our tub floor is now soooo much grippier than any mat or any other tub I've been in. I was hesitant the first time stepping in the shower without a mat, but this stuff instantly gives confidence in not slipping.
We put this in about a month ago and it's still like new. We clean it with Softscrub, as recommended. Actually, the tub needs much less cleaning than when we used a mat, as everything can drain away instead of lingering on the mat. I'm happy that I did 2 coats, and plan to recoat in the future with 2 coats, as well. I'm very happy with this brand. Even if it wears out after a year or whatever, it's a lot cheaper than a broken hip.

Stop slips and falls in tub or shower easily and cheaply

I really like the value of this anti-slip coating. We have used it in each of tub/shower combos now and have been happy with it for about a year now.
Previously we had tried SolidStepCote Formula 02 and had mixed results with it (and it didn't last a year).
Pros:
- Slightly grippy but non-sticky texture feels like smooth clean sandstone, very nice underfoot!
- Easy application on clean tub surface (for this or any other coating, make the tub is totally free of previous coatings, adhesives, limescale or grime)
- Forgiving application - you can correct mistakes and even out the coating fairly evenly - unlike solidstepcote that I used previously.
- Totally non-toxic and very low odor when applied.
- Durable application
- Easy to clean with Bon Ami or other gentle cleaners.
Cons:
- The bottle is a little too small to do two tubs, but too much for one tub. If it was 50% larger they could sell it as a two tub kit.
- Not totally invisible - it will add a slightly white opacity which will probably be visible on dark or colorful tubs. On a white tub it's fine.
- like any coating, it probably won't hold up well to concentrated solvents or cleaners (bleach etc), and it doesn't being scrubbed with something highly abrasive (few surfaces do).

Simple, works VERY well.

I've tried a number of 'super-duper stay-on' sticky tub stick-ons and the only one that stayed on longer than TWO baths or showers was the one I got angry at and SUPER GLUED on! This stuff is very, very good. It's been over a year now and neither my husband nor have slipped and killed ourselves in the shower! We don't pay much attention to color, it's pretty much clear. Some people might accuse it of discoloring but ours hasn't and even then...it's the bottom of a tub/shower so who cares?? Used the whole bottle (I forgot how many ounces) and again, it really just works VERY well at making the shower/tub bottom NOT slippery.
