Our Thermal carafe just arrived. I love it. It matches my Mr. Coffee red coffee brewer. It seems very well made and sturdy...a little bigger than I thought it would be but will hold the 12 cups of coffee we brew daily. It also has a carousel on the bottom and turns. We had one very similar to this made by thermos that we've probably had for at least 10 years and the pump lever on top finally broke. I believe this will give us great service.

We've had this thermos for two years now, and I rave about it every time we use it, when we have big family gatherings. if I preheat it with a thorough hot water rinse, It keeps our coffee hot for hours. And it is sturdy, well made, and attractive to boot! the pump mechanism has held up to vigorous use, and the handle has held up for lifting and transport around the house and garden without weakening. it holds a 12 cup pot and a half of coffee. This is a superior product and I highly recommend it to anyone!

Office coffee sucks so I started a Coffee group and we brew great coffee 1-2 times a day. Pump enough coffee to almost fill up a 16 oz cup. Holds enough coffee so I don't have to make multiple batches and waste the coffee grinds. Coffee doesn't last long enough for me to gauge how long it holds the heat, but for what its intended for, it works.

At this point I've had this carafe for several days and it has been in use for each one of them. I'm really impressed with the sturdy way it's built. I've had 2 similar carafes break because the pump setup on the top was plastic so didn't last more than a year. This is all metal so it should last much longer.
I filled it with boiling hot water and 12 hours later the water was still very hot. A good thing since I often have to be up in the middle of the night for work, so this means I can have coffee the second I wake up from a disco nap (which sadly doesn't mean what it did back in my college days) and need to get to work. Even after a full day the water was still somewhere between warm and hot. Not quite hot coffee hot, but just when it's slightly cooler than drinkable temperature.
The one star off is because it is hard to open - the buttons you have to push to release the top for filling don't push easily, especially at first. It will loosen up over time, but it would be nice if it was easier to open the top from the beginning, especially since I also bought one for my mom and she has arthritis. But other than that one issue, this is all pros.
