Finally got another one for my downstairs fireplace! Tired of black dirty hands! We had one for our upstairs fireplace that is longer. This does the job too.

It serves its purpose and is fairly unobtrusive but I took away one star because when the damper on my fireplace is open ad I hang this thing on it, the weight of it closes the damper. So I can only use it when the damper is closed and have to find another place to hang it when the damper is open. Since it's more important to me to know when it's closed so I don't smoke up the room, that's not a deal breaker, but Is that how it's supposed to work???
