I'm sure it works great on certain engines, but performance was spotty on mine. 1983 Honda 750cc V4 four stroke. Yes, V4 not inline. Tried multiple settings and 4-2 seemed to be the "right" one. The induction would only read at idle. Any rev or higher constant RPM was not followed. Engine idles at 1000rpm and redlines at 10000rpm. Find a better unit if you can. you get what you pay for.
Good product but has one short comming

Works great for most gas tools. Tried it on my older model poulan av2300 chain saw but could not get a decent reading. Sparkplug is located very close to the muffler. That could be the problem with trying to attach the cable or using the cordless sensor.

Did not work as advertised; I returned it for refund.

Works as intended I've used it on my chainsaw, twin cylinder garden tractor, and my V8 truck with both antenna and wireless, the readings were just a couple rpm's different. I purchased a refurbished unit to save some money. In my opinion this reader is well worth the money and very easy to use.
Works as expected.

This worked great. Needed to use the included attachment cable to pick up the rpm of my weedwacker. Found that during adjusting I needed to reset the tach from time to time. It works fine after a reset and then starts to missread after rpms vary during adjusting.
