Smart invention

This thing isn't perfect but it sure beats the pants off of taking them out of the can one at a time. I have no problem laying down a fairly rapid rate of fire using this. I didn't know such a thing existed. Found it while randomly looking for a solution to trying to handle the pellet can while trying to get a second shot on a varmint. If you find it has a tendency to dump pellets out the back just stick some putty over the end or a cut off q-tip in the end - problem solved.
Pretty useful

The slider to push the pellets is not very snug...sometimes when you hold it upside down, all the pellets push the black slider out and fall out the back. Other than that, it is DEFINATELY better than band loading pellets into break barrels.
Can be better

Well made and works well. But I think it is a little thick especially the head. Anyway, as a plastic pen, its price is too expensive. My another one bought from Walmart, that is thin and has a metal tube, shorter and fine. I use that one for my bolt air rifle.
Works.

It works nice, but you have to get used to the different ways different pellets laod in the bore because some fit tighter than others. So that's the only trick about using it so far after trying it one day. Having to lay it down seems to defeat some of the purpose it could have being it is a carrier/organizer for pellets.
As others say, it is like a cheap plastic ink pen and could have been better thought out, such as making an end cap or making it our of metal or adding a means to clip it to you or having a lanyard to hold it for you.
I will buy another when it wears out unless it wears out too fast. We don't have enough buying options to choose any thing better that I saw here.
I would recommend getting the pellet seater version though

The pellet pen works well. It beats picking a pellet out of the tin to load every shot. It is much faster to load because you don't have to pick a pellet out of the tin and make sure it is head first with every shot. I subtracted one star because there is a slight amount of play between the tube and pellets that can cause a pellet to jam up at the end. This probably happens about once every 40-50 shots or so. Not a huge deal and wouldn't keep me from recommending this product. I would recommend getting the pellet seater version though. The pellet seater slides onto the back of the pellet pen. You can use it to properly seat a pellet after you feed it with the pellet pen. As an added bonus the pellet seater keeps the pellets from sliding out if the pen is dropped.
