Fixed my ETD the natural way
E Wong✓ Verified Purchase•October 9, 2017
Works as described, the trick is to seal the air (nose+mouth) and move the air in your mouth to put positive pressure toward the stuck Eustachian tube in your head. Ie. If your left ear has glue ear / ETD follow the instructions then create a bubble in your mouth's left cheek ("move" the bubble around and if necessary release some + air to open the canal). You may need to tilt your head to the left if necessary. Follow warning directions
Scenario - ETD + fluid in left ear, originally I was prescribed Flonase, Sudafed, Prednisone, & Afrin to take all at once. (I tried the Prednisone but it only worked for the duration). I didn't want to use all the medicine at once until I can fix it in a more natural method.
Chewed gum, worked a for a while but symptom came back.
Fyi: comes from the U.K. (came early for me ordered 9/29 arrived 10/10, original estimate was 10/17-11/1

... removal kit and it made the problem so much worse. There was blockage in my ear
Amazon Customer✓ Verified Purchase•August 12, 2017
One day I got water in my ear and after a few days used some ear wax removal kit and it made the problem so much worse. There was blockage in my ear, my ear felt 'heavy' and I felt so congested. I looked around and tried some remedies and nothing worked, I saw Otovent but was kind of intimidated on using it. A few more days passed and I started to have ringing in my ear so I went and got the Otovent. So easy to use, just watched the video on Youtube and it was really nothing at all -- no pain, just a little weird doing it the first couple of times.
It took a few weeks but slowly my hearing was coming back and the I can feel relief in my ear. Finally after about a month of using Otovent, it's 100% better. There is hope people! If you have symptoms of Glue Ear use this first, I honestly can not thank this treatment enough. I thought my ear would stay like that forever. Would give more stars if I could!

All parents should buy this!

This product was recommended by an otologist for our ear infection prone son who was 4 years old at the time. Everytime his ears get congested due to a cold (in its early stages) we practice with this as a prevention and so far, no infections! This product helps the ear to naturally drain itself of any liquid or secretion that may later get infected. It works with pressure: child blows a medical balloon only using one of his/her nostrils, while pinching the other nostril. Works wonders and it is even fun for them!
Easy way to pop your ears

Was so excited to get home and try this and it worked first time. Lately I've had sinus issues and it's really blocked up my hearing, but I've had ear problems my whole life and had tubes twice as a kid. It's never gone away and I've just dealt with it. But I needed to pop my ears and was looking for some ways besides the usual yawning and swallowing. First I saw the Ear Popper, but it's expensive... I thought about it for a second, but $180 to just blow air up my nostrils seemed a bit too much. Then saw the Eustachi at half the price - and then found Otovent with a simple balloon to do the same thing!
I was willing to spend much more for the other products to have relief, so the $14 I spent was small change.
The trick in using this (for me anyway) is to do what I have seen described in a video review here as well as an ENT on Youtube in which you blow the balloon up with your mouth, pinch it shut so the air can't escape, and then plug up one nostril and get ready to release the air into the other. Right before you do, take a drink of water and hold it in your mouth.
The combination of this makes it pretty foolproof and it gently popped my ears. You can always try to just blow the balloon up with your nose too, but that may feel more strenuous and difficult, especially for small kids.

Balloons are way too stiff

The balloons that came in the package are exceptionally difficult to inflate, even for an adult. I've stretched them by hand and inflated them myself 5+ times, and I still find it very difficult to get them started. My 4 year old daughter doesn't stand a chance - she has not been able to even come close to inflating the balloon.
It looks like another recent reviewer had a similar problem. I am going to have my daughter practice with some party balloons before retrying the Otovent. Will modify review if/when she is able to utilize the product and we see whether it provided a benefit.
