As advertised, for the price this worked out great - of course the blade is not too sharp, you will need to sharpen before use. What are you expecting a razor then spend more money and buy a more expensive one. This one works great for clearing out those wild & nasty raspberry canes, good weight to it on the swing. I buy this again if I need too.
Sturdy but Bad Blade Design

Really, really sturdy (which is what I was hoping for) but unfortunately it is almost useless to me. I was a little dubious about the flat edge blade (as opposed to the serrated edge blades I have used before), but I bought this against my better judgement. It just doesn't grab the grassy and woody weeds like the old classic design. I had one for years that I wore out that I could cut anything with, including the slickest grass or even small trees of 1" or 2" diameter with ease. The piece of garbage ones from Home Depot bend like a piece of paper if I try to do that with them. Don't intend to buy a flat edge swing blade again. Just bad design.

The "blade" is not ready for use out of the box. I purchased to clear out an overgrown flower bed, but am going to end up returning or throwing in the garbage as the blade is not sharpened and does not cut anything. If I had the necessary tools to sharpen the blade, it's thick enough it would probably take a decent amount of time to do. I'm not going to purchase more tools just to waste time and effort to be able to use this cutter; I'm going to Home Depot to pick up one that has an actual blade on it.

Well made. Arrives with a blade as dull as a butter knife. After sharpening it's a weeds worst nightmare.
