I have to update my review now. I bought these based on glowing reviews. In the 10 month of ownership, one of my bulbs suddenly died. I was annoyed with this given that my original Hyundai bulbs lasted me almost 5 years/ 100k miles. I called Sylanvia and they really stood by their product warranty. So if you have warranty issues, call 800-729-3777 and start the claim process of the phone. You will need to email them a copy of your receipt, and they will ship you a replacement set (not one bulb, but a set) within a few days. I was very happy that I didnt have to run around in circles to get the right person to make this happen. Thank you sylvania!

However, within 2 weeks, my other original bulb died. So within 10 months, both my original bulbs died. These are garbage. I'm glad sylvania stood by their warranty, but Im definitely not buying these again.

Nice bulbs! They are nice and bright and yet still white in tint. I used them on a 2010 Toyota Corolla which headlights were dimming slightly from age. The owner didn't want LED's because she didn't want to blind other drivers so I suggested trying a brighter halogen, or new regular halogens at that. I didn't expect the light output these gave but I was very satisfied to see the difference they made. I didn't want to go with Silver Stars because of the life expectancy I heard from them. I am hoping these will give her many years and at least dim some after a few years so I will know when it's time to replace them and not suddenly burn out.

Three stars for the low life expectancy. I bought a package of 9006 of this type for my minivan. Rated life 850 hours on the back of the package. Good! Thats a lot of nighttime driving. The 9005 arrived today and the back of the package says 200 hours for a rated life. Hummm... Thats a big difference. I wish they posted that on Amazon so I could could have avoided buying the 9005 lights. So do I put them in for a year and replace them next year at this time? Frame of reference 10,000 miles at 60 miles per hour is 166 hours.

Misleading description, they are just average, basic headlight bulbs; nothing more, nothing less.
Yes they work. NO they are NOT bright white. They look just like any other basic headlight, no whiter, no brighter, no nothing different or better I don't care WHAT that manufacturer says.
ONE of my headlights burned out, so I ordered this set. I installed ONE bulb to compare, and it is virtually identical in both color and brightness to my other old, used, cheap-o headlight bulb. I intended to replace both bulbs, thinking it would look odd to have different ones installed on each side; I ended up leaving the other one in until it too burns out; you can't tell they are a 'mismatched' pair of headlights.
I have LED bulbs installed for low-beams, and those are super white in color, making this bulb look very dull and yellow-y in color.

On a positive note, these bulbs are very affordable, and the best price I have seen for any replacement non-HID or LED bulbs in any local big box store or auto parts store. I purchased these 9005-high beams, for a Bonneville, and they fit perfectly. They just don't LOOK any different or brighter than any typical headlight.

Double check with the bulbs in your car to make sure its a fit. I added my car to amazons garage plus look at sylvania website to double check thought I was doing it right...WRONG looks like I need 9003 not 906 the plug in for the lights are completely different style.
so now I have to risk getting pulled over more...( been pulled over 3 times for a head light out )

so do your self a fav. and take a min. to check and see what plug in thingy ( yes that is the technical term for it) your car has. looks like there is a 2 or 3 pin... get the right one or you will be like we with wasted $$ and time.
