I am please with the sward but I did bought it just to match my real Kami Katana by Paul Chen / Hanwei.
Well its nothing wrong with this copy of Kami Wakizashi except the color.

The real Hanwei scrubber its Red this one its an dark red...will not match my settings for my wall display :(

I really liked this sword. I wiped off the oil it came with with my microfiber towel and in the right light you can see the hamon line well. It's made from 1045 so it isn't really that hard compared to tool steel, but I'm surprised that it was scratched by cardboard. I meal it does say fully functional and if it isn't hard enough to not be scratched by cardboard? For the price I'm not upset as it is my first sword and it is relatively cheap. I haven't taken the handle apart yet but I do really like how solid the handle is. I couldn't tell you if it has real ray skin but the handle at least does look very high quality. I'm not using the Japanese names for the anatomy for simplicity. The back bevel and the chisel tip, on my sword at least, bother me a little. The bevel on the spine should be equal on both sides all the way down and it is all the way to maybe 1/4 inch from the tip. The last quarter inch is just the left side of the bevel the right side didn't make it that far. It looks like the tip on the right side may have been over polished and that's where the spine bevel went. The sword also isn't as sharp as I wanted it to be. I doubt I could cut myself unless I was REALLY trying to. Again for the price this isn't a huge deal. Polishing a samurai sword takes a lot of time and skill and is very expensive. Overall it is pretty much what I expected and I do really like it.

Like: well crafted, sharp off the bat, nice looking and well shipped, strong enough to cut chainlink fence.
Don't like:, the tempering of the edge is fake or poorly done!, chips so easy, strong metal but week tempering?, dose good on soft stuff but to cross with another sword I would be cautious don't hit to hard or at a real sword with real temper, I broke 1 of my katanas dueling a REAL handmade Sword I did myself!!
GRATE wall hanger or grass cutter !!

Seems like pretty great quality for the price, menuki is not fully pressed onto the rayskin on one side and the sageo is a little loose but besides that no other flaws. Sharp, and has matching koshirae with a Musachi Katana if you want to complete your Daisho. Overall, a great blade

Full tang, 1045 mono tempered polished Hamon, Smith name on nakago, fit is perfect, disassembled and reassembled without any issues, still very tight, the only problem I have is that it doesn't come with a certificate of authenticity, the certificate could be in a downloadable file it doesn't cost anything. Otherwise I would say I like it very much so. Very very sharp!
