I held off for years buying this because of the price and some other reviews, but finally went ahead and made the purchase about 6 months ago and am SO glad I did!
I wish it mentioned in the description that there are no hard bits on the bed (only the leash clip) so it's soft against the car. I thought from the description and after measuring that this might only fit in my truck, but since it is just a high density rectangle foam bed, I am able to squish it down a couple inches to fit on the center console of my midsize SUV... this also keeps it from not slipping. The large is a little bulky because of this, but not enough to get in the way of my driving & it keeps my pup in a comfortable place during trips so he isn't a constant distraction trying to stretch out to see out the car windows. My dog is a 12lb deer chihuahua, and is able to either sprawl a little in the bed, or curl up in the corner of it. It's the perfect size for him. This bed has already gotten SO much use and seems to be a very good quality foam so it will probably last for many years to come. So happy I don't have to work about the console getting scratched anymore or my dog falling all over when I drive through mountain roads 😃 It really also gives my dog a place to feel secure and see the windows, (without even being bucked in), which makes it a safer drive for everyone.

I have waited to see how this worked for us. And I can say we all love it. My little passenger princess goes everywhere with me and this has resolved a few of our traveling issues.
She is 6.5 lbs Yorkie and as you see she can snuggle down or stretch out.

Pros:
No weird smell

Perfect size for her

Soft and looks nice in the car

Doesn't slide as much as other brands do on the arm rest so I do consider it a bit safer

It doesn't take up to much arm space.

Cons:
I wouldn't consider this as a safety feature and if going for accident safety then I would definitely suggest a real furbaby car seat because this is not it.

While it doesn't take up a lot of space it is on the arm rest so my hubby didn't like that he could feel it on his arm and didn't have an arm rest anymore (luckily it is my car and I'm normally driving and since I do not mind sharing with my little girl then this is not a real issue for me personally)

We are very rural in the south so my little girl is not a concrete princess leading to the "fluff" - it holds onto everything and I mean EVERYTHING! Have to pick it out which can be a pain in the butt. Washing is easy enough however it can be a job to get it into and it has to be unstrapped to take the cover off and wash it.

It is HOT! Again we are in the South so the biggest part of our year is ridiculously hot.
Now I worry about her being so little and over heating so the car is always cooled down before she gets into it...that being said the fabric used on the cover is still just hot! I have a cool sheet inside hers and have some other fabric on order to make seasonal fabric covers.

The only big con I had was the ft of the seat was the same hight as the other sides. This was really noticably uncomfortable for my little girl but an easy fix. It is made of foam so I took the cover off and trimmed a soft "u" shape into the ft where she rest her head. Put the cover back on and she has loved it every since

Sides keep collapsing

I have had my teacup Chihuahua for 2 weeks. I decided before I even got her that I would use a car seat and never let her ride in anyone's arms so she knew where she belonged when we got in the car. Fast forward only 2 weeks and I can get out of the car leaving the ac on of course (we live out in the country) no matter how long I'm out of the car she won't get out of her car seat. Also, it fits perfectly on the console between the two front seats. I am ordering another for the truck so I don't have to move it back and forth. I like it that much! Lastly, I put a baby blanket in it for her comfort. She loves it.

It's cute and comfy. My puppy has separation anxiety unless she's able to touch me. She barked a lot to tell me she hates riding in the passenger seat, so I bought this. She is now quiet for our rides. She seems to enjoy looking out the windows and being able to lean her head on my shoulder.
