Like everyone else says, be prepared to sand like crazy and it will take many hours to put this together. You will want wood putty for the seams. It does not come with shingles. I painted mine differently, and added an interior wall with cardboard, plus added extra moulding, and made a "Halloween witch house." Now that it's done, it's fairly sturdy and I like it a lot, but you get what you pay for, just be aware. Follow the directions carefully and go to the Greenleaf dollhouse club page for clarification if needed.

Bought this for my daughter and we are putting it together as a "bonding experience". The main thing is to follow the directions carefully. An adult needs to pop out the wood pieces because an overeager child could break them accidentally. It is a very nice little doll house at a great price.

Well, my kit arrived today and I was very excited. I got the sheets out and discovered I received 2 second floor sheets (2) and was missing the first floor sheet (1). Disappointing but shipping it back and exchanging will take forever. I'm just going to fix it, but it's not what I expect from Greenleaf.

You have to prep every single little piece, and I sure wish they would make the window glass out of a different material, this stuff is so easy to screw up!! But the little house is cute now it's done and my daughter loves it so all good... :) I added the base and the picket fence. :)
