I purchased this for a deployment after my issue M-68 (Aimpoint sight) was missing a screw that apparently no one can find a replacement for. I decided to get this for the deployment and was not disappointed in the least. The housing easily survives the rugged bumps and bruises of getting in and out of vehicles and worse than that my privates have decided they wanted to play with it some too and see what it was all about. For those that don't know, military grade equipment undergoes testing for the most hostile environments. Then we hand that equipment to privates and it is broken within minutes.

The first thing I tested was the parallax for this sight, which is basically how accurate the sight is while not maintaining the same body position and eye position. As expected, if the dot is on the target you are getting a hit. As winter has set in, I am testing its ability to maintain a zero in varying temperatures. Unlike some previous reporting, it seems this issue was solved since discovery a few years ago. The brightness settings and NV settings work perfectly. The sight goes from barely visible to blindingly bright with its 20 settings. The NV has 10 setting levels and they are equally impressive. Although the battery life is not the insane hours of the Aimpoints, I never had problems. Also the unit warns you if the battery is low.

This sight allows you to use your backup iron sights with a lower third co-witness. I also paired this sight with the Vortex VMX-3T flip magnifier. This took the sight to the next level. The ability to have either 1x magnification or instantly change to 3x magnification is amazing. And the magnification makes having a 1 MOA dot even more important.

Brightness settings for almost any ambient light
AMAZING Parallax with almost no drift between shooting positions

Cons:
Expensive but if my life could depend on it why not (also check for mail in rebates)

Ordered this optic to put on a 300 blackout build only to be completely disappointed. This should receive 0 stars since it was a complete knockoff. I know EOtech's come in a plastic/foam case and not some cheap cardboard/paper box. I popped a battery in it and turned it on. As soon as I powered it up I felt like throwing it out the window because this optic is absolutely horrible. Sucks to receive a knockoff from Amazon. I called them to request a refund and to let them know they had a knockoff on their hands. Return was easy and now that I have my money back, I'm purchasing another one in hopes that I get the real deal. Fingers crossed and hopefully it's a real one!

This deserves zero stars! It is not real it is a knock off. Beware who you order from and research your optic. I will post pictures so you can verify if yours is real or not. 1st a real Eotech comes in a plastic hard case not some cheap cardboard box. Also the lens will never have any type of reflective tinting. The reason is because a real Eotech uses a holographic sight this sight uses a LED. If you tilt the optic you can see the LED lights being projected. The next thing is a real Eotechs reticle is blurry or fuzzy and that is due to it being a holographic again whereas a LED has a clean picture. On a real Eotech the Night Vision or NV button will dim the reticle to hardly visible and this is due to the fact that night vision goggles will jot work with the reticle too bright it needs minimum light to function properly but if you press the NV button and the reticle color changes it is a fake mine turned green. A real Eotech does not have a spring in the battery well and the battery is not loose also the real Eotech will have a rubber O ring gasket on the battery cap. Please if you are inexperienced with Eotech do your research. The moment I saw the box it came in and the sight itself I knew it was a knockoff. I could see how someone unexperienced could be fooled though. Also another thing a real eotech has nice feeling firm buttons whereas this one is very low quality. If you compared them you could feel the difference in quality. Amazon needs to look at their inventory and get rid of these. It is not real Amazon I am begging you to check your inventory before someone unsavvy buys one and sues your company for false advertising. I have already called and emailed notifying your customer service but I really like Amazon and would hate for a law suit to arise. I have included a real Eotech compared to this cheap knock off. A real one also has the positive symbol on the battery cap whereas a fake is smooth and flat.

Not a real EOTech it is a knockoff

This product was a cheap knockoff. I have three other Eotech sights and this was definitely not made by Eotech. It is just a plain red dot sight and not a laser holographic sight. Overall quality control and even the packaging was cheap and substandard.
