Good if you enjoy getting burnt

This jacket is very uncomfortable. Comfort to me comes secondary to practical, but it is not even that. I used it for about a week stick welding in the overhead position with 6010 electrods which, yes, throws a lot of hot sparks wich landed on my arms and burnt through the jacket leaving several holes through it and burning my arms with small freckel sized burns. I supose it would be fine for gas welding or stick welding with a lower penetrating electrode, but if you do anything with hot sparks its terrible and expect burns.

Great protection at a great price. I love this jacket ! Light weight and easing to put on and off. Has small pockets on the arms to hold tools like soap stone, scribe, sharpies. Snaps all the way up around neck for added protection from stray Sparks. This isn't as durable as the leather welding jackets. But I usually Tig weld so this is great protection. This may not hold up so well if you are doing a lot overhead work using Arc or Mig.
