I don't mind the very mild taste and the consistency is fine. I am noticing that the consistency changes with temperature quite a lot, so for people who think it's too hard or brittle, warm it up in some warm water first. I can't tell that it is helping my digestive issues very much, but I don't eat these every day. It really is a gum and will last FOREVER, so I have been swallowing it after chewing for a very long time. I break it down into tiny bits and swallow it gradually. If I was taking it for mouth health instead of internal issues, I'd probably just throw it out after chewing.
