Yes !!! OPEN PIT !!!!!
PaulsgirlMay 5, 2016
Thank you, I was unable to find this product in south Texas. I was raised on Open Pit in Michigan and Ohio. This produce was just as I remembered WONDERFUL !!! I thought it was a little pricy $3.25 per bottle, where as in Michigan $1.00-2.00's per bottle. But I have to do what I have to do to get Open Pit.
Tastes like home to me
Tink KerbelleAugust 19, 2015
I buy this by the case since it isn't available where I live (northern Nevada/southern Idaho). If you are from Michigan, barbecue sauce=Open Pit. End of discussion. Tastes like home to me. I can't make barbecue chicken or BBQ beef without it!
Best tasting sauce we have used over many years

Open Pit Original has been our go to barbecue sauce for as long as I can remember. It is not available in the area that we live in so we "import it when we get low. Best tasting sauce we have used over many years.
Open Pit is great. I wish I could get it here in ...

Open Pit is great. I wish I could get it here in Vegas. Having to have it shipped raises the price substantially, but worth it.
Awesome for country pork ribs
TomApril 17, 2015
My family has used this sauce to make bbq country style pork ribs starting with my grandmother (>45 yrs), and it is awesome.
Try: 5-8 lbs country ribs. Roast covered in oven at 325 F single deep, with 1/2 cup added water, for 2.5 hrs. Increase temperature
to 350 F, remove cover, and coat top of ribs with this sauce. Add a 2nd coat after 20 minutes. Ribs will be ready after another 20
to 30 minutes. They should melt in your mouth with a tangy & mildy sweet taste from sauce. You will use about 1 bottle for this recipe.
I also use some sauce on the side as I eat the ribs. This is a dish I take to pot luck lunches and get rave reviews. I live in California
but bring several bottles back from midwest about twice a year from travel. Enjoy.
