Blue? scooter

So far so good with this scooter. It's for my 2.5 year old, and he's still figuring it out. As far as I can tell, the scooter is very smooth, and appears to be well built. It was easy to put together, just snap the handle bar into the piece with the wheels.

Besides balancing, it's taking some time for my little one to learn how to turn. Turning is accomplished by leaning to one side, which turns the front wheel. You can't really lean unless you're going fast enough. You can't go fast enough until you figure out the balance thing. So it's going to take him a couple weeks to figure it all out. But the turning system definitely adds some extra time.

Only real complaint is the color. I ordered the blue, but it's closer to a purple than blue. It was enough that I had to check the box (it says blue) and the Amazon page (to see if purple is even offered). It's blue, I guess.....
Best little scooter you can buy for kids

Best scooter you can buy for a little one. My athletic 27 month old instantly got on this at Christmas and started riding it with no previous training. It's well built and sturdy. The wheels glide well. At three, he has mastered how to turn and kick but not yet how to stop using the break (he uses his foot). To keep up with him I bought an adult scooter from this same company and have a blast scootering with him in the park.
Two years of solid use and son still loves it!

You rarely see products with almost all five star ratings... This product is worth every penny. It is the real deal. We bought this for my son when he was two and a half, and he took to it right away. He had never really been interested in bikes or trikes, but boy does he love this scooter! Two years later and it is still in great condition, and he uses it weekly.

Don't hesitate to buy this! You'll be making the right choice! I'm actually on Amazon to check out the next step up (micro maxi) to make sure he has a replacement for when he gets too big for this one!
Love it!

This was an instant hit with my 3 yo son -- so that he could ride around just like his big sister on her scooter. He learned how to use the brake on the back as well as steer around corners with the front lean. I purchased this after seeing pictures of a co-worker's young son riding it in his house. I liked that it has the two wheels on the front for balance yet he can pick up great speed with it. Two years later, my 3yo is turning 5 and nearly too tall for it. We are dressing this one up with wheel lights and a Dino Scooterheads from the manufacturer website to give this to my younger son--who is now turning 3yo. The older son will get the next one, the Micro Maxi for his birthday. Excellent product.
Great build quality if you are willing to fork out the dough for a kids toy

This is a great scooter. The build quality is evident; it is probably the most well built toy that my daughter interacts with everyday. The turning mechanism is clever, and probably safer for young riders over a swivel-type steering system common to Razor scooters. My daughter is 3.5 yrs old and has so far only been able to ride on hardwood in our house (we live in MN, it was an X-mas present), but she is mastering the lean-to-turn mechanism pretty well. She is also working on braking, but isn't quite there yet, to the detriment of my baseboards. I loved that I only had to insert the handle into the base for assembly, NO TOOLS REQUIRED. What a welcome relief for Christmas Eve.

I took away one star because this scooter is priced so high. The build quality is evident, but come on, $80, really?!? An $80 scooter with a 44lb weight limit?
