This is complete garbage. The grip texture feels awful, the blade material does not retain an edge well at all. I was clearing brush at my range and after a while, it stopped cutting clean and turned into a blunt force tool. I could have used a bat or pipe just as effectively. If you're actually planning on using this, buy something else like a kershaw camp machete. If you need a prop for a halloween costume, buy this, cut with it a few times, the blade will dull to a harmless, useless edge.

So far it cuts and hasn't broken...can't say the same with the belt loop. That broke with the first wearing. May update later if there is anything bad, but so far for the price and what I need it for, it works great clearing florida brush

I like the weight and handle. It has a good grip that is easy to hold onto. The sheath is nylon over plastic so it retains the shape when the machete is not in it which is nice.
I only give it 4 stars because the blade wasn't quite as strong as it should be. After about twenty minutes of brush and small branch clearing, I had two nicks and some small grooves in the blade. I haven't hit the ground or anything hard so there shouldn't be any. I ran it through an electric sharpener a couple times and it sharpened up easy.
For the money, I'll buy it again if and when it gets too beat up. So far it's doing good enough for me.

This purchase was made with the upkeep on brush and shrubbery in the yard. I was hoping to use this Machete to cut back the wild thorn bushes that otherwise tear your skin apart. Previously I was using a pair of loppers which was effective but took forever. This was a perfect alternative that helped keep you at a good distance from thorns and is able to take out more than one stem at a time. This arrived with no scratches and sharp. The handle is heavy duty and allows for a good grip. The saw side to the blade cuts very well and the teeth aren't chipped or dull. Overall, good blade for a multitude of uses.
