Just hired a plumber to install to replace Price Pfister circa 1959 & plumber got hot and cold stems in and said I needed a diverter with different threading to fit. Not sure if that's right or if I just need a better plumber... I'll rate diverter when I get a 2nd opinion

I have a 50 year old home and I intended to just replace the entire shower faucet. When I got into the project I realized I would have to re-plumb due to the age and type of piping used. Now my 2 hour project was going to take me the weekend AND i'd have to fight off the giant spiders (in my mind) in the crawl space, or spend $250 + parts with my plumber. I opted to take a shot with these replacement stems and they worked perfectly! Very happy. Thanks for giving me my weekend back!

These valve stems were an exact fit for my Price-Pfister valve body but I have to add a few caveats.
First, if you order these stems you will have to separately order the valve seats as they are not included with these stems. Second, the washers were missing from two of the stems. My washers were in good shape so I was able to reuse the old ones so that was a minor inconvenience. Third, they were a little touchy to thread into the valve body. After lightly cleaning up the starting threads with a fine file they threaded easily.
Overall and at the price of these it was worth getting these stems in spite of the minor problems.
