I was a big Alvin mat fan, but their pricing became too high. I found this mat, and just unpackaged it. Very high quality, and 36" wide exactly (not advertised as 36" and then actually be 35.6" wide like some other mats). The flip side is solid mat black, which is also fine, but if this eventually fails, I will just buy another at this price!

This cutting mat works just as intended and is a five star product. However it arrived very bent and rolled up. It has taken a long time to get it flattened out. The box it arrived in was plenty big enough to be shipped flat so I don't understand why they shipped it rolled up. Very frustrating.

I'd been using a similar product as a desk blotter. The old one was thin and was getting warped. This one is much thicker and seems like it'll stay flat. It also looks good. It's perfect as a blotter. Easy to write on and the grid lines with measurements come in handy. It's also useful if I need to snap a picture of a small part or some item to sell on eBay (or Amazon, if I were a seller here!)
